Musgrave? Who is this Musgrave you speak of?
Seriously, I still have high hopes for him. If he can simply stay healthy.

Re: Rank the Draft Pick Desire #3: Round 1
All that I care with our first pick is that IF there is a special player avaialble, regardless of position, get him. If there's more than one, then pick for best fit position wise.
There won't be a special guy at 23. That's almost certain. But we can hope.

Can't tell if it's looking more likely he's staying put or if we are just waiting til closer to the draft. Bulaga got me thinking: https://youtu.be/k1L55c4KAp0?si=wSAEC85A33RXP1uf I agree with Bulaga. Also, agree with the other guy about, where does a player "cross the line" as to when th...

Yep https://x.com/bookofeli_nfl/status/1894920384614482082?s=61 This completely. The guy has a unique personality but is a great player. Just because he didn’t feel he could play on an injury doesn’t mean that he immediately needs to be traded or cut and replaced by some nobody like Ladarius Gunthe...

Re: Green Bay Packers’ News - 2025
I have read quotes from Ron Wolf, Ted Thompson, and Brian Gutekunst that have said something to the effect of: "You use Free Agency to fix mistakes you made in The Draft". 2024 Xavier McKinney (2019 Darnell Savage) Josh Jacobs (2020 AJ Dillon) 2025 Aaron Banks (2021 Josh Myers) Nate Hobbs...

Isn't there a thread this year of our own FAs that Guty is re-signing?
McManus.
Anderson.
Who else so far?

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around The League 2025
Free Agency begins on Monday, right? So, how many deals will be leaked out by this time tomorrow (Sunday)? I am hoping that we will hear of Guty getting two FAs by Wednesday at lunchtime. Maybe he waits for some deals to pass to set the market and then he acts. But if there's a guy he signs on Monda...

Re: OT: What is the chance NO ONE wants Aaron Rodgers?
FWIW, I am sick and tired of the reporters and bloggers chatting it up about Rodgers being likely or maybe to the Vikes. I get it. It's a dead season and they need to report something. But it's nothing more than conjecture and hearsay and rumors. Oh yeah, it might also be a fan base getting stoked u...

Re: OT: What is the chance NO ONE wants Aaron Rodgers?
I would say the "chance" is maybe 10% that no team wants Aaron. He still has skills that very few QBs have, despite what some people say. And most teams don't realize that he is now a polarizing influence in the locker room. Somebody will take a chance on him. Just don't know who yet. I do...

Re: Green Bay Packers’ News - 2025
I think it's worth noting the comments about drafting a QB. Sean Clifford is a work hard guy. But we've normally had QB3's with stronger arms than Clifford. I won't be shocked at all if we draft one. Yeah, we're gonna get some value, I hope, for our QB2. He's remarkable (at least if he doesn't go to...

Re: 2025 Free Agency
Slay has said that he only wants to play one more year. Jaire is still good for 4-5 years, even while only playing 50% of the games. So, it's kinda nil. Some teams would be all about trying to get Slay. A few teams don't want to do a 1-year deal with the guy, even tho he's good. Some teams, I still ...

Re: Davante Adams Released
I don't see how Guty takes the financial pill that it would require to get Tae. I'd love to see him return. But I really doubt it'll happen. He'll have to return when he signs his 1-day contract to retire as a Packer.

Tis the Season for Hypothetical Trade Scenarios
Heck, the professional writers do it. Why don't we do it too! I was pondering the prospect of the Pack trading for DK Metcalf. So then, I wondered, "Is a 1st round pick EVER worth an elite player who probably/maybe still has 3-4 years of elite play?" I know full well that teams to it. (See...

Re: Packers Top 5 Team In 2024
FWIW, this team is what it is/was. We beat all the teams we were supposed to beat. And we lost twice to Detroit, Minnesota, and the Eagles respectively. I don't think that makes us a top five team at all. Put the Ravens, Bills, and maybe even one or two teams above us who could manage a victory agai...

Re: Super Bowl Thread
So the question then, in my mind, is this. If you are the Eagles, how do you exploit this weakness to the extent that it tilts the game in your favor? Does it allow you to add an extra DB on most plays to defend against the pass (which will be useful against Mahomes)? Perma-spy Mahomes with a lineb...

The 1961 team had 27 interceptions (in a 14 game season)! Unreal. I can't imagine how any team could throw the ball against a D like that.

Re: Green Bay Packers’ News - 2025
https://x.com/KenIngalls/status/1889032875078537328 I forgot hold old Metcalf is! Was he 24 when he was drafted? I really think the most telling stat on the table is the ages of most of the guys (except for Wilson). Then, Crosby's salary will, I think, make him a solid NO (screaming) in Guty's view...

Re: Super Bowl Thread
For consideration: The front 4 of Philly (actually has a little ring to it) can't have anything taken away from them for last night. It's okay to be amazed at how much they whooped the OLine for KC. No doubt. Have hardly seen anything like that. But it's due to various factors and not simply about b...

Re: Green Bay Packers’ News - 2025
At this point, Jacobs is one of the few players who played his heart out in the playoffs and down the stretch. He set the bar higher than it had been. And he earned the right to speak out. Other players who haven't (yet) reached that standard can chill and suck it. Listen to the LEADERs of the team....
