Rodgers and the Cap

Just some information to share on Rodgers contracts, as some of the posters who hate the Love pick don't have a firm grasp on how Rodgers contract plays out. cut before/during this season: 21.6M Cap figure, 51.1M Dead money, (29.5 cap savings) ouch Cut before/during 2021 season: 36.3M Cap, 31.5M Dea...

Re: Round 1 (26) - Jordan Love, QB Utah State

Loves arm talent is stupid. I have never seen someone exert so little effort in a 45 yard pass. Unbelievable. I'm stoked for this kid. Yeah, an arm like this is absolutely not available in the late 1st every year. Hopefully MLF keeps that fishing net drill in camp. Rodgers is for once going to have...

Re: False Prophet

Just curious Lupe, but how has being pissed at packers management for the last 15+ years been working out for you so far? You call it mediocrity, but Green Bay has been a consistent winner for the last 25 years, and won 2 Super Bowls in the process, without really going through a dry spell. Yes I kn...

there will be another Love nexy year and the year after.
That's the thing that bums me.
Its something I could not possibly disagree more with... unless we use a Top-10 pick... then CAN YOU IMAGINE the backlash?
We don't even know if we will have an NCAA season, so there is that...

Re: Round 1 (26) - Jordan Love, QB Utah State

Reality is every pick in the draft is a dart throw, there are no guarantees. This was not a 4/23/2020 decision by Green Bay. They identified him as a player they think could be great at the most important position on the team, and they were planning on getting him if he got to sniffing distance. Ro...

Re: Round 1 (26) - Jordan Love, QB Utah State

Ted was absolutely hated for the pick (oh the "fond" memories of being called a TTard for not hating the pick). And, in turn, Rodgers was hated for having the gall to be picked by Ted. "Ted's Cabana Boy" comes to mind... That brings back memories...lol. I took a lot of crap for ...

Re: Round 1 (26) - Jordan Love, QB Utah State

I’m personally not crazy about the pick. Madcity the armchair GM trades up and takes Queen there. But...

If the GB scouting trust thinks Love is the man, I’m fine with the pick. If you like a guy that much at that position, you gotta go get him. We have a legend at the position, but he’s 37.

Re: Aaron Jones - prepping to get paid

I would hate to lose him, but in the current state of things you're better to let a good RB walk vs muck up your cap for several years. IMO, we should be drafting a RB every year that fits the zone scheme we run. It's my understanding that the scheme makes it easier to plug and play (not diminishing...

I imagine they needed to let him test the market but I'm glad this got done and love the terms.
