Re: Vikings @ Packers GDT: Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 - 7:20 CST
Simply pointing out the fact that when you consistently have a defense that holds the other team to 20 ppg or less, it's a lot easier for a QB to win. How many times has Rodgers had that? 3 times How many times has Brady? 15. Cousins. Once The worst defense Brady ever had, gave up 21.6 ppg during t...

Re: Browns @ Packers GDT: Saturday, December 25th, 2021; 3:30pm CST
Nice win but I am starting to worry about our defense. They had no answers for the Browns offense. Fortunately Baker stepped in and provided an answer. But this is 2 games in a row where we couldn't really stop them very well. I agree, But there is a bright side. It's two games in a row where the o...

Re: Browns @ Packers GDT: Saturday, December 25th, 2021; 3:30pm CST
I dont wanna hear from Joe Buck, Joe Blow, or any other talking head blowing smoke about how the refs robbed the Browns. You throw four picks, 99% of the time...you lose the game. Period. Well, when one of those picks is because the WR was knocked down by the defensive player 10 yards down the fiel...

Re: OBJ prioritizes Packers as Number 1 destination
Sometimes the money issue isn't about money, but pride. Being offered the minimum--even if you're already banking money from another team--may just FEEL bad. And you'd rather go somewhere who says "hey, you're better than the minimum," even if the dollars don't make much difference. I agr...

https://twitter.com/JacobMorley/status/1460276845815992329 I'm surprised that Dillon isn't higher. He ran well and hard, he got some nice gains, he got the 50 yard catch up the sideline where 49 yards came after the catch. And the biggie was the two touchdowns. Both third down, and only for 3 yards...

Re: Jordan Love Discussion
It wouldn't, but yes @Pckfn23 responded basically what I would have responded. His footwork looks clean when the protection looks clean, based on what some of the experts were showing. Under pressure, even before it forces him to move, it fell apart some. But it's also the sort of thing that just t...

One is the fumble recovery. Two is the King interception, where he has a good p...

Re: Pete Carroll
One thing that puzzles me slightly. Carroll made reference to the Rodgers fumble and recovery and how he thought they should have had it (obviously, since he eventually managed to throw the red flag). And it seems everyone else connected with the Seahawks, and not a few neutral observers, agreed. B...

"Special" is still the wrong word, but they went from "Abysmal" teams to "Almost competent" teams. Still marked down for the missed field goal.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑14 Nov 2021 19:09Pack is Back in the drivers seat for a first round BYE. D is incredible.

Re: Jordan Love Discussion
It is kinda unfair to say if Love isn't the second coming of Rodgers he's a colossal flop. AR is a generational HOF talent. If Love can become good enough not to be a liability he'll be fine. We've seen other teams win the SB with pretty average first round QBs in the past. Agreed. OK, let's leave ...

Re: Jordan Love Discussion
Who will start? ANYBODY. With that performance against the chiefs 8-9 would be a dream. I still think Rodgers may stay next year. So I suppose the question is, is it possible that a QB playing his first game might not be at his peak? Is it possible that he might do better in his second game, or thi...

Re: Packers @ Chiefs GDT: Sunday Nov. 7, 3:25 PM CST
When was the last time you believed the Green Bay Packers defense played this well? I think the conversation today would be gushing at how good this defense is if it weren't for the incredibly bad game our STs put out there. In 2010, New York Jets, 9-0 win. That was pretty much a must win game, we ...

Re: Jordan Love Discussion
Put Love on another team filling in for a game and objectively evaluate him. What separates him from just a guy? A first round pick as well. Perhaps that's the point. If, on his debut, he looks like "just a guy", then how good is he going to be when he gets more experience? If you compare...

Re: Packers @ Chiefs GDT: Sunday Nov. 7, 3:25 PM CST
Can we compare Love‘s game yesterday to Rodgers‘ 2007 vs. Cowboys? Did Love show enough to be optimistic? I read some articles that talk about Rodgers being the real winner. The consensus was: Love had 2 years under his belt and enough days to prepare and did not deliver what you‘d expect for a #1 ...

Re: Jordan Love Discussion
Still...The Packers starting QB in 2022 will be Jordan Love. Not Aaron Rodgers. Come to terms with it and move forward. The decision has been made and it's not changing outside of a bad injury to Love. Rodgers will be on another team or retired. I wouldn't be so sure of that after Love's performanc...

Re: Packers @ Chiefs GDT: Sunday Nov. 7, 3:25 PM CST
If Love makes as big an improvement from game 1 to game 2 as he did from the first half to the second half, then he's got a chance to be good. The last two drives (interception apart, and that was in a position where we had to take risks) were night and day compared with what he was doing earlier.
