Redzone last night said "If a Packer has the ball and it isn't AJ Dillon, you can assume it's a rookie".

Re: Jordan Love 2023 Expectation/Player Comparison
That last play was so bad. Low chance of making it happen anyway but Love needed to at the very least give a guy a chance. He didn’t do that. If that’s Rodgers he probably tries breaking the pocket and extending and hoping something breaks down in the secondary. I think Love maybe should have tried...

Re: Jordan Love 2023 Expectation/Player Comparison
https://twitter.com/Peter_Bukowski/status/1724792717086278076 One thing that is interesting about Love's 10 interceptions is that they have all come when we were behind. Even more so, that nearly all of them have come when it was necessary to take extra risks to force the ball. Four have come when ...

Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
As a side note, you're using hindsight to analyze the selection of Rodgers. At that point no one knew he would end up being a HOFer. Obviously I'm using hindsight. To assess whether or not someone was a good draft pick, you have to use hindsight. (Those gradings for the draft which various experts ...

Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
Are you saying that if the Packers had won a couple more games in 2004, then drafting Rodgers would have been a mistake? No, that's not what I'm saying at all. The Packers weren't a contender entering the 2005 draft. You just need to look at their record of 4-12 for evidence. They were definitely o...

Those of you so quick to label Love as a bust, please read Cliff Christl's column about how long it took Bart Starr to establish himself and what he went through. https://www.packers.com/news/yes-vince-lombardi-tried-to-trade-bart-starr-for-don-meredith Can't compare the eras. Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
But the only valid criticism should be about the player. By your argument, all the teams that failed to pick Aaron Rodgers all those years ago, could be said to have done right - not because a Hall of Fame QB wouldn't have helped the team long term, but because it wouldn't have helped that season. ...

Re: Tanking?
I am convinced it's not possible. 4 years in the NFL already. Of course it's possible, I am firmly convinced that Aaron Rodgers was better later in his career than he was 8 games into his first season. Feel free to disagree. But if we accept that Rodgers could improve and had not peaked by his 9th ...

Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
It wouldn't have made any sense to select Hurts in the first round of the 2020 draft either. As I have said a lot of times since the 2020 the criticism about that pick has nothing to do with Love but the position that was selected. But the only valid criticism should be about the player. By your ar...

Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
And the Packers in 2010 had three rookies who started 6 or more, Bulaga in round 1 and Shields and Zombo undrafted. All those extra high picks that weren't much used, and undrafted players were. There really are no guarantees.

Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
With the way Rodgers was playing 2018-2019, it was not hard to believe you could find a better option in the draft. Lamar Jackson won MVP the season before that draft as a second-year player. Lots of QBs on their rookie contracts were playing better ball than he was. So it actually is a pretty smar...

Re: Reality
Yeah there were opinions like that but Rodgers went for like 4038 yards 32 tds 13 ints and 63.6% completion in a 16 game season. It's different. It is different. There is no doubt that Rodgers had more success throwing to Jennings, Driver, Nelson, Lee, Jones, than Love is throwing to Reed, Doubs, M...

Re: Green Bay Packers News 2023
If players arent part of your long term plans theyre just as useful as a dud. Might as well get the lottery ticket of the pick or use that to move up in the draft just a tad to get what you want. I don't think I'd agree that a player who isn't long-term, is no use at all. If he makes the team bette...

Re: Play the 2023 Packers Blame Game!
MLF. Regardless of the level of talent, we should be seeing improvement. If the players are all 6th tier the coach should still be able to improve them to 5th tier. Who on this team is playing better than last year? Also, 9 points in the first halves of the last 5 games. Not 9 points average, but 9 ...

Re: Green Bay Packers News 2023
Ideally someone would package several 6 or 7 round picks and turn it into 2-3 picks in the 3rd or 4th round range. But that’s kind of competent GM territory That would be more than just competent, that would be genius IMO. I doubt anybody wants a bunch of 6th and 7th round picks because the chances...

REALITY: Analyst Bakh was right. The team is rebuilding. He tried to tell us the truth about what was going on around him. I still believe players shouldnt be telling the public the truth, but Bakh was right. Mostly the same roster, but he saw Love in practice for 3 years and knew the team was in t...

Re: Week 8 Post Game: Vikings ∞, Packers 10
Bahk was broken - in and out. Rodgers won mvp without bahk and Jenkins. Please. I don't see the relevance. How does Rodgers winning MVP in 2020 and 2021 prove that the 2022 line and the 2023 line are not much different from each other? Any debate entitled "Is Bakhtiari a better left tackle tha...

Re: Week 8 Post Game: Vikings ∞, Packers 10
Lol the wrs were rookies last year. Numbers speak for themselves but geez comments show the lack of understanding. What do you even watch? This oline is basically the same as last year. Wrs a little older. Tes a little faster. Like stop please. You're wrong about Lazard and Cobb being rookies. You ...
