Re: General Packers News 2020

Can someone remind me why I give a damn about betting?

Re: Black Monday / Blacker Sunday?

If not for his history there, I would have looked at JAX and a good landing spot for Hackett. Bringing Lawrence along with a young group of WR's and a solid young RB should be right in Hackett's sweet spot.

Re: Cheese Curds - 2020 - News Around The League

you don't get it, this season it's tanking to move from slot 6 to 9, what will it take for a team to tank next year, or for a half doz teams to follow that in years to come each season, all in the hopes of drafting a 60% hit rate player a few selections earlier in the draft, soon we'll see a snowba...

Re: Cheese Curds - 2020 - News Around The League

they didn't try to lose though, yanking key starters does not translate to purposely losing games. You can maybe make an argument that PHI was not actively trying to lose, but you cannot make an argument that they were trying to win. They wanted to evaluate their backup QB and probably some other p...

Re: What Are You Watching?

HBO sure is taking their sweet time with the GOT prequel. Looking more and more like House of the Dragon won't be arriving until 2023.

I could see that. I’m sure Hackett has value here but if he goes I think everything operates the same. We still have a top 5 play designer in LaFleur. I would assume Stenavich would fill the OC role. That man is a wizard as an OL coach.
I would hate to lose Stenavich more than Hackett.

Re: Black Monday / Blacker Sunday?

I have to think Hackett will be an attractive OC option for one of the new staffs that hires a defensive minded coach. Landing an OC gig with play calling duties seems like the next step for Hackett, and I would not expect the GB brain trust to block that kind of move.

Re: Black Monday / Blacker Sunday?

Very quiet chatter, but I have seen a few places listing Alonzo Highsmith as a candidate for GM in Houston and Eliot Wolf in Detroit. E-Wolf has been in the GM rumor mill for years. Now I want him to land a GM job somewhere just so we can all find out if he's good at it. He's been in the business f...

Re: Cheese Curds - 2020 - News Around The League

The Eagles decision had playoff implications, the Chiefs did not. The Chiefs were getting players healthy for the playoffs, the Eagles were not That's why fans are talking about the Eagles and not the Chiefs. Personally, I couldn't care less. I think teams should always do what they believe to be in...

Re: Milwaukee Brewers

If Burns, Woodruff, Williams and Hader can stay healthy, the pitching could be fun to watch this season. I am not looking forward to another season of double digit strikeouts being a regular feature of the Brewers offense. Hopefully Yelich and Huira can get back on track, and maybe Narvaez and Garci...

Re: What Are You Watching?

After scanning my download/streaming history over the past couple years, the shows listed below are what I recall enjoying the most. Shows prefixed with an '*' would be my recommendations, but everything on the list is something I didn't regret taking the time to watch. A Discover of Witches America...

Re: What Are You Watching?

Got to the end of The Mandalorian season 2 last night Luke’s appearance was kind of cool. Wasn’t expecting it. I’m a Star Wars fan but not rabid like some. I had been curious to the timeline setting of the Mandalorian series as compared to the movies. A young fully vested Jedi Luke kinda puts the s...

Re: General Packers News 2020

Yeah and honestly I do have the announcers a break for this. It was a lot easier to announce in the 90s and early/mid 2000's because the fans just didn't have the information. The announcers were the gateway to that information. Now we have all the information at our finger tips. I mean I think it ...

Re: General Packers News 2020

I find that most of the crews have more negatives than positives, so I generally watch games with the sound off. I'll turn up the volume when something specific is happening where I need more details, but that is pretty much it. How do you honestly watch that? I need the experience of the sounds fr...

Re: General Packers News 2020

The NFL hates us. Jennings sucks. I liked him last week. There are way worse. I didn't like him. But didn't hate him either. I've gotten quite good at tuning out most announcers though. I find that most of the crews have more negatives than positives, so I generally watch games with the sound off. ...

Re: Official 2020 Draft Thread - Day 2 - NO SPOILERS!!!

Gute and MLF are clearly intent on reshaping the roster. Last year it was mostly on the defensive side, this season apparently it's the offense. I don't hate the general idea, but these picks are not exactly what I had in mind when thinking of what I thought should be added. If the team wants to shi...
