No way the Packers lose at home on Monday night.
Without fans home field equals any neutral field. Still this is a must win, moving to 4-0.
@Mods At which point are we allowed here to talk about the 72' Dolphins and their record? :hide:

Re: Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints GDT - 9/27 - 7:20 CST

The Green Bay Packers went on the road and beat the Saints in New Orleans, that's a rather monumental accomplishment both in terms of the past, but even more so in terms of the future. Insert people and NO becomes a different place. As far as I concerned every game is on neutral ground. It makes no...

Re: Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints GDT - 9/27 - 7:20 CST

I just miss the old Pettine that, for some reason, disappeared around October of last year. Before that, we were running exotic blitz packages and essentially scheming up free rushers (exactly what MLF is doing on the offensive side) but for some reason around the KC game, he just stopped. Why? Too...

Re: Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints GDT - 9/27 - 7:20 CST

Brees. Not awful considering how fast he wants to get the ball out Brees'a arm is aging pretty fast. You could see more than a couple of longer throws he looked at but canceled. IMO he's entering this phase where a defense basically can abandon the deep threat like with Peyton in his last season. T...

Re: Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints GDT - 9/27 - 7:20 CST

Clark is a huge loss Maybe we should look for another impact DT via trade (to complement Clark or to be our plan B)? First, you can't have enough of them, secondly, if we look like the real deal the next couple of weeks it might be worth to consider "going all in, to win". TT wouldn't hav...

Re: Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints GDT - 9/27 - 7:20 CST

But the real question....does this game make us contenders? Or are we still just pretenders? ;) Oh yeah, last years mantra. :) This year it's easy (for me): we are SB contenders...and the (main) reason is #12 being his old self so far. Something in me still correlates his "bad years" with...

Re: Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints GDT - 9/27 - 7:20 CST

Rodgers is the main difference maker to the last couple of years. He's more accurate recently. Plus he finally understood his reduced role instead of overtrying to extent plays: sometimes less is more.

Re: Aaron Jones - prepping to get paid

In what world do you think Rodgers would take a pay cut when we just clearly sent him a message he’s on his way out? Rodgers knows the business. He was on the other end of it when he got drafted in 2005 and it was Favre who "got the message". He knows GB had to think about its future. Rod...

Re: Aaron Jones - prepping to get paid

force our hands to move on from Rodgers sooner than later. Ask Aaron - in a respectful manner - to take a pay cut to hold together more pieces and I think he'll do it. We can still play #12 for 3 seasons and then look what Love does offer, just as it went with Rodgers and Favre between 2006-2009.

Re: Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers GDT - 9/20 - 12:00 CST

Nothing to complain about so far, but also no reason to take vacation for January. I remember the Cowboys being spot-on early in 2008, just to deteriorate later. But my main hope is #12. He looks rejuvenated. Maybe he was more hurt the last two seasons than we thought?

Does somebody have easy access to Pete Dougherty's latest chat at GBPG? Copy and paste here would be highly appreciated. No idea why I don't have access here from Germany, probably a EU thing.

Re: Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings GDT - 9/13 - 12:00 CST

Relatively easy win. Rodgers on, if that continues we are SB material. MVS looked a bit better but still our main guy to improve (I recall a perfect bomb from #12 he didn't catch :(). Don't be too harsh on the defense, it was preventive very early on. Anyways, life is good right now.

Re: 2020 Bold Predictions

but we were definitely a SB contending team last year. Not for me since SF was too strong. But I guess that's going into semantics. For me a SB contender is a team that has the realistic chance to win its conference to go into the SB, no matter the (NFC) opponent. Last season SF owned us all the wa...

Re: 2020 Bold Predictions

If #12 can rise to his former self we'll be a SB contender. If not we'll be the team of last season: close, but not good enough for the big one. #12 will rise again, MVP material that is. You can't get bolder than that. Reasons for my prediction: Aaron has the brainpower to learn from his adversity ...
