Re: Packers Bengals. First pre season game of the year

Clifford is better than Love. He has "it." The INT was bad. He locked onto his first read. He threw off his back foot. It was late. I'm glad that GB has some young arms on the roster, but Love is a light year ahead of Clifford at this point. Much higher ceiling. Looks natural. Love looks ...

Re: Packers Bengals. First pre season game of the year

Love got the team to the line, read the field and went through progressions, and put the ball where it needed to go. It is a good stat line that also passed the eye test. He's going to be mobile but not a running QB. I'm very happy with this first taste.

Re: 2023 Packers 53-man roster predictions

3rd RB spot is completely open, I think. Until pads are on and full contact is occurring against other teams, I don't think we really know much at all about how it shakes out behind Jones and Dillon.

Any peeps from today's joint practice? Or is it completely closed to outsiders?
It's tomorrow.
Thanks!

Re: Mark Murphy at Northwestern - OT?

He was named in the greater hazing lawsuit since he was university president at the time. No direct involvement, he's just part of it as the overall Grand Poo-Bah. I thought he was AD at the time. It would be during the time that black players were pressured into watermelon eating contests as well ...

Mark Murphy at Northwestern - OT?

It may be OT.

I don't want it to be a distraction for the team this year. Murphy is 68 and has said he wants to retire at 70. If it becomes a distraction he should step down.

Re: Meyers Watch

Meyers seems to struggle against bull rushers. No QB can have the pocket collapse like that, right in front of him.

Tom seems too valuable to move to C. I hope Meyers improves or is replaced by someone not named Tom.

Re: The Age of Artificial Intelligence

Widget production may not be intellectually challenging but it provides purpose. It reduces purpose ad absurdum. It can, I suppose, in some people. Just drain the life right out of them, if they allow it. However, I'd argue the typical laborer - widget producer, landscaper, whatever - generally tak...

I want to hear about Lew Nichols after pads come on. I think he can be a 3 down back.

In 2024 it may be Dillon, Nichols, and Goodson, with Jones gone.

Training Camp - 07/29

All reports on Saturday stated that Jordan Love had his best practice of training camp so far. According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, Love went 16-of-22 on the day and performed well in a two-minute drill to end practice. https://twitter.com/bigpackers4x/status/1685360391449120769?ref_src=tws...
