Re: Rank the Roster 2024: #27

I think Slayton is turning into a fine player, hence my confusion how he's still being ranked against players I don't think are anywhere near where he has played with some not having played a snap already on the official "roster". He's been good and not many of us have noticed it seems. a ...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

every time I think the league going to be capping out in salaries for a bit, it goes higher. I never would have thought a QB with those credentials would be setting that bar even higher.

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

Not really. My most involved post on the matter concerned all vets and their teams and how many partake in some, none or all of any particular ota or minicamp every year. Most don’t raise an eyebrow.

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

You're missing the point still. Also, we didn't have multiple players who were unexcused. Not one. This year. And what’s the difference? Heck they excused them because they’re vets. Some new to the team, 1st year here. I know nothing of Rodgers absence, doesn’t really matter, it’s a Jets issue and ...

Mad that one got done first.
That’s a heck of a bar set by that QB.

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

I don't think anybody has proven anything. Every single year Vets come to voluntary camps, every year some big names miss, skip, sit out, boycott or show up for some. Some participate, some don't. Some come to Mandatory camps, some skip it, some hold out, some have all sorts of reasons for coming t...

Re: Rank the Roster 2024: #27

How do all these rookies get in before a guy like Slayton? Am I not thinking of the right Slayton on our team? Maybe it's me. Give me a guy who's made some steps in the NFL and finished last season well over some guys who've shown us nothing so far. Karl Brooks first year has 4 sacks, 4 pass defens...

Per a court filing. I always file those under, “we’ll see”. When it comes to this stuff nothing surprises me. What people will do and what people will make is equally astonishing.

So we have asymmetry between the legs and coaches talking about just the tip, What the fuzz is going on in OTA’s?

Re: Green Bay Packers' News - 2024

yes, i'm going to wait and see for sure. Yes asymmetry causes injuries, or can contribute at least. BUT, we're humans and insanely adaptable. Everyone has asymmetry, even highly trained athletes, and most of them have no ill effects from it. and there are all sorts of reasons for it. Adaptive/functi...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

The worst thing any of those receivers ever said about Rodgers was he didn’t hang out outside of practice. I don’t hang out with 20 year olds either from work and it has nothing to do with anything work related . I specifically remember Doubs saying how available Rodgers was his rookie year to answe...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

Amari didn't make it because Amari wasn't good. Then Amari blew up at being accountable despite the team giving him opportunity after opportunity. He didn't offer the team anything then and I don't think he's offering any insight now other than continuing to blame others because it's convenient.

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

I think the point is that one imperfect system is clearly a lot less flawed than the other, notwithstanding whatever criticisms you can validly make of it. Hence, improvement. I added to my original post and I don't think it's a lot less flawed. I think they call games differently and overtime it h...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

Soccer was mentioned and I find it difficult to believe that being familiar with the offsides technology that is frequently utilized in high level soccer competition leaves questions about it being a game of inches. That stuff is precise and at least as fast as our replay system I'm not familiar wi...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around the League 2024

oh, I remember. and I don't think replay has really fixed anything in this game. Just like I don't think this will either. Really, replay did not fix "anything" in football? :| You say this like if a system is not perfect, then it is not an improvement at all, when we can all clearly see ...
