Re: 2024 Free Agent Discussion

I don't think this roster is short on talent. If anything, I'd be looking for some sort of veteran who has experience with winning Super Bowls. He doesn't need to be a top-end talent. I think this young team could benefit from someone with veteran leadership with a track record of success.

Brian Thomas and AJ Mitchell with those times at those sizes.... whew.

I know we don't need/want an early WR but those guys can be fun.
I'd have no problem with this organization taking a WR RD1, if we think that the guy can be a real game changer.

Re: Random stuff

Kobe Bryant day, yesterday. This is still one of the most badass random moments in sports. https://youtu.be/aYLR4BcX7Rg Jordan > Kobe > Lebron Concur, albeit the gap between Jordan and Kobe is much smaller than the gap between Kobe and Lebron. Yes, and I didn't mean to imply that Lebron was even to...

Re: Lab's annual Mock Offseason

I like the idea of going all out to address the Safety position. I would consider giving the LB position more attention. Other than that, I can't think of any complaints that I'd have about this draft.

Re: Super Bowl LVIII

If the plan was to give Carlson two to three seasons to develop and be "the guy", a rational GM & coach aren't going to go "Oops, we accidentally made the playoffs. Better change course and bring in another kicker." Let's not forget, Crosby was in year five before he cracked...

Re: Super Bowl LVIII

Nobody here denies that the Packers had the talent to go all the way. Yet in the playoffs, every team is very talented, so what makes the difference is who plays sounder football consistently. And as talented as this team was last year, they were also pretty wildly inconsistent. KC beat a more tale...

Wow https://twitter.com/mysportsupdate/status/1757858433888370741?s=46&t=RVScvSC5MI3-MVuRYaF98A Quite late in the process, must have an internal hire they like? Not many guys still out there. I would be too upset if I were an SF fan. I really thought he dropped the ball down the stretch on Sund...

Re: Super Bowl LVIII

In the 4th, Love couldn’t throw anymore. Offense wet it’s leg. It's true. And I am willing to chalk that up to lack of experience, for now at least. At what point in the game did the Right Tackle go down? 4th quarter. Backup right tackle. Great pass rush. That's the type of scenario where experienc...

Re: Super Bowl LVIII

After having a few days to reflect on the Super Bowl, I have come to the conclusion that we absolutely could have won. The game was entertaining and it was indeed a close game, but I think that the level of play was not what we are accustomed to seeing from Super Bowl caliber teams. If we don't drop...

I think maybe a 2nd and bring a later pick back.

Not exactly the qb you wanna be moving a high pick for and giving a 2nd contract to.
I would give exactly nothing for Justin Fields. He isn't good enough to win a Super Bowl with, so why bother?

Wild stat....
That '69 Jets defense doesn't get enough credit IMO. Namath gets all of the glory because of his guarantee, but that defense won the game for them (and Namath admits that).

Re: Super Bowl LVIII

The bad news is SF's window remains open during the same span as ours is open: their QB is still dirt cheap for two more seasons, so they can and likely will keep going after top talent, and even when he gets paid, the roster losses probably won't be too bad for the first few years. We cannot rely ...

I'm hoping for aggression like that on D next year.
Is Hafley going to be a “walk around” guy like Spags? Or do we get another hermit who hides up in a booth while his guys get their ass beat?

The SB is just lame. No atmosphere. No energy in the stadium. 3/4 of attendees don't even care about football. Ridiculously long halftime.
It has become way too reality TV for me.

I got the Chiefs in a low scoring game.
The Chiefs are a team that will take advantage of the opportunities that the 49ers gave our defense, which we failed to capitalize on. I believe the Chiefs will win, riding an admirable defensive performance.
