Re: Green Bay Packers’ News - 2025
Tom is the clear priority re-sign, and after ponying up for Banks, I don't see us spending what will be needed to keep Rhyan. Just too much money to tie up into OG, and RG is a position where you can find playable options without too much problem. For the same reason, yeah, you probably need to move...

Re: 2025 NFL Draft - Football Thread
I'm in on Egbuka. My only hangup is I like O skill players have some superpower, and I don't think Egbuka really has one, just very technically sound and well coached. But I feel like he's a guy who will give you 1000 yard seasons from his rookie year, so I think the pure production will be worth it...

Re: 2025 NFL Draft - Football Thread
What are some positions and who are some prospects that don't fit into our consensus top needs (WR, CB, DT, DE) that you are open to drafting in Days 1&2? I won't complain about LB in Day 2. I am also amenable to the idea that we could get help in the receiving game from a talented TE. It'd be g...

Re: 2025 NFL Draft - Who's Going?
Nope!
If a bunch of PH folks want to meet up somewhere on Friday night or Saturday, I'd be willing to make the trip up there. I've decided I'm not real interested in attending the actual draft itself though.

Barron and Johnson, pretty evenly for me but I like barron's versatility slightly better.

Re: Green Bay Packers’ News - 2025
Pickens trade rumors make zero sense to me. I haven't seen any reports of him being disgruntled or anything, so why would PIT move a super talented young player on a rookie contract?
(And if he *is* being a headcase then I don't want him—if Mike Tomlin can't keep you in line, no one will).

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #2: Round 1
I'm kinda unsure about Tet, tbh. I'm not overly fond of possession receiver types as your WR1. Definitely like having one in the WR room, but more as a #2 or 3 option, not the go-to guy. So I dunno if it will crush me if we pass on him at 23, provided I like the guy we end up taking. Having said tha...

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #2: Round 1
Gonna go with Harmon for reasons explained previously, and Barron. I think Barron is such a useful chess piece in the secondary that can tie all of our pieces together. Praying for a Terrion Arnold type surprise fall there.

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #1: Round 1
I will also say, Emeka Egbuka is in play for me at 23, as much as are Golden and Burden (to me, they are all kind of the same guy). He's not elite, but then I doubt you have a shot at a truly elite prospect at #23 anyway, and I can see the production we get out of him being worth the investment. Bur...

Re: Packers Sign Mecole Hardman
Btw, I think it may be a bit overstated how 'weak' this receiver class is. It definitely is not as impressive as last year with guys like MHJ, Nabers, Thomas, etc. or the year before which didn't have many elite prospects but had crazy depth. This class lacks elite prospects or depth, but there are ...

Re: Packers Sign Mecole Hardman
A KC journo came on the latest Pack-a-Day episode, hosted by Ross Uglem, as a guest and said KC moved away from vertical routes in general because they were seeing lots of two-high defenses and made things more horizontal, so the lackluster production may have less to do with him and more their off...

Re: Packers Sign Mecole Hardman
We need a return specialist if Nixon is going to ditch that role. That alone makes this worthwhile. He also gives us some depth at receiver which we could use, probably didn't cost much. A bit of a redundant skill set with Reed and Bo as a small fast primarily-slot guy, but whatever, again probably ...

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #1: Round 1
Our need at CB is more for depth and developmental talent than for someone to play this year.
I kind of want to see us take a bunch of swings on high-upside guys there in Day 3, make them ST guys this year and see if Hafley can get any of them to become viable starters by Year 3.

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #1: Round 1
I don't see Harmon as a Wyatt. Sure they are both 3-techs that slash through blockers but there are all kinds of guys who you can say that about yet are all quite different from each other, like everyone from Ed Oliver to Deforest Buckner. Harmon is very long, has more linear movement, but also a lo...

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #1: Round 1
decent run stopper with very good pass rush potential, which makes him a 3 dn player, Clark isn't getting any younger, and Harmon seems like a Kenny clone :idn: Harmon is very different from Clark; he has a lot more length (6'6 versus 6'3), and his game is more about knifing through blocks than eat...

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #1: Round 1
Derrick Harmon is the ‘most mocked to us’ on the consensus mock draft board. https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-drafts/2025/consensus-mock-draft-2025 Very interesting that Jahdae Barron has no consensus team. Maybe we do have a shot at him? This is how guys fall on draft day. He'd be the onl...

Re: Rank the Draft Pick #1: Round 1
Pre-FA, CB to me was hands-down the top need for us. With the Hobbs signing? It's still in-play for me early, but I don't think we need a rookie CB who has to start games for us this coming season. I can't get over how much Derrick Harmon makes sense for us. We need guys that get after the both the...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around The League 2025
Cincy is the Yoopian paradise. They drafted an elite young QB, gave him an elite WR and top-notch WRs 2-3. They let Boyd walk, but broke the bank to run it back with the QB and WRs 1 & 2. Bold strategy, let's see how it works out for them...
