Quickness and speed (not the same thing) are things that can be taught and worked for improvement. I'd give a rookie WR a break that he isn't twitchy enough in his rookie campaign after he has just added bulk. Those qualities can come and we should be confident that he will put in the work to make that happen.

I think his main thing is the 1) game speed, and 2) hands.

As one of you noted, he doesn't seem to be playing at NFL speed yet. Maybe that's because of limited reps. That can improve too. And we have the example of Adams to show us that many WRs just don't get it the first or even second season.

His hands, I feel, are just bad at this point. I don't trust him as PR one bit. And I also want Moore there. From the PS practice I saw Rodgers muff two catches. And it seems like he is muffing another every time that I see him. Moore has better hands. Plus, he already is showing a one-cut ability on returns that Rodgers doesn't (yet) have.

I would hope for Rodgers to sneak in a gadget play in the playoffs and a reasonable improvement next season. I still wouldn't be surprised if Green Bay drafts or brings in another slot guy before next September.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
