Fantasy Football Help Needed

Cheesy topics (like the Cheese Curds thread) go here. Topics that aren't Packer related will be moved here as well.

Mmmm.... cheese.

I waited on TE during one of my drafts and over a 2-rd run the position was depleted. I ended up with Mo-Allie Cox. I have since picked up Tonyan in hopes than one of them becomes a surprise starter level player.
If the guy from Denver is available he should at least see some volume.

I considered him, too. He’s available. Ultimately, I think Tonyan’s role as trusted receiver along with GB’s dearth of experienced receiving targets (and Lazard’s injury) wins out over Albert O. At least during week 1. I’m starting Big Bob on a prayer.

Isaiah Likely could be the number 3 in targets in Baltimore after Andrews and Bateman. :idn:

Pick two WRs from:

T. Higgins - Bengals vs. Pit
M. Williams - Chargers vs. LV
M. Brown - Cards vs. KC
J. Smith-Schuster - KC at Cards

It's down to Brown (with only AJ Green for competition) vs. Williams who is always boom/bust. Not sure which way to go.

RBs are CMC, Jones, J. Williams.

Keep in mind the advice is coming from a guy who winged his draft last weekend....

Getting cold feet on starting David Montgomery vs the 49ers DEF.

Other options are Dillon and Rhamondre Stevenson and Kenyon Drake. Full pt PPR league.

I have a Patriots RB lottery ticket, but not sure I want to scratch that just yet. I have no idea if Drake will play today based on the late signing, but I do think he gets volume at some point this year. Will Dillon pick up where he left off last year? Will we really see two RB sets?

Soldier Field is apparently covered in water. That, coupled with a strong DEF, and I am going to sit Montgomery for Dillion or Stevenson.

I'd go Dillon. I am going Dillon over Chase Edmonds, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Melvin Gordon in my other league.

Looking at this weekend and considering the injuries/suspensions, which DST do you expect to be the better play?

Packers DST @ Tampa
Buccaneers DST vs Green Bay

I have both in one league as it happens.

Talk about your loaded questions... I'm starting Green Bay, but if I had space on my bench to keep them I'd probably stream another defense.

Just received an offer:

Send:
Najee Harris RB PITT

Receive:
Derrick Henry RB TENN

That's interesting. Two (so far) under-performing players who likely rebound...but how much?

I don't like Pittsburgh's offense but if they put Pickett in it could have an impact.

Henry has shown he can thrive in that offense. But are all those carries catching up to him?

What else am I missing? Any related offensive injuries I haven't considered? I'm inclined to accept at this point.

It’s a long season. I would do that in a heartbeat and expect Henry and the Titans to figure some things out quickly.

The thing that gives me pause is it’s a 0.5 ppr scoring league. Harris is involved in the passing game thus helping his floor whereas Henry isn’t, at least not up to this point. When the Titans get down, Henry is essentially sidelined.

Henry all the way - he has an easier remaining schedule, and a significantly easier playoff schedule.

Ended up making the Najee Harris for Derrick Henry deal. Of course Harris goes and scores a TD soon as I trade him away but his night was still the same meh.

On to week 3.

Flex spot, 0.5 PPR:

Curtis Samuel, WR, WAS vs PHI
Allen Lazard, WR, GB @ TB
James Robinson, RB, JAX @ LAC

Put them 1-2-3 in order of preference.

I’m intrigued by all 3 but am leaning Samuel. I think gameflow will favor him and I expect Darius Slay to cover McLaurin thus leaving Samuel in the slot for some target volume.

I like your thinking on Samuel. In one of my leagues I picked him up on waivers after week one, but somebody dropped Allen Robinson and I dropped Samuel to grab him. Might regret that but early to tell. I'd play him of the three you listed if you need upside. Robinson if you want the highest floor.

I heard that the Titans might lose Taylor Lewan on their O-Line just after I recommended taking Henry in the deal. Not sure if that's true. I still think Najee is in a worse situation.

As with many managers this season, my tight end spot sucks most. I'm playing musical-mediocrity right now. I dropped Dawson Knox in one league for Tyler Higbee, so Knox should blow up this weekend. Higbee is available in my other league and I considered dropping Hockenson for him but couldn't quite get there.

I have Hock in two leagues and have also been disappointed thus far but am holding out hope he rebounds. The good news is the Detroit offense likes to sling it so hopefully he gets more involved.

Dillon or Doubs in a FLEX spot. 1 pt PPR.

I probably need 15+ to win. Will be close. I'm leaning Doubs and hope...

Kind of like Slayton, Cobb and Zay Jones.

Although I have both packers Aaron’s. Don’t need a 3rd packer.
