Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Good timing. He has appealed it but not sure if that would delay his suspension or not.
I think it has to. If he appeals he will suit up on Sunday unless the NFL and NFLPA deny the appeal swiftly.
Suspension appeals usually do not take long.

I honestly think the 49ers got better today when Trey Lance broke his ankle.
They should have stuck with Garappolo from the beginning IMO. If Trey Lance had had talent that was undeniably superior and just needed more playing time, then I could understand wanting to start him. But it never was clear that he was better. In that situation you have to roll with the incumbent IMO.

The 49ers traded up to #5 to get Lance. You take a top 5 QB, he is playing whether you think he's more talented or not. It's not like its a new regime who didn't draft him. 49ers wanted out on Jimmy G. No one would pay for him. They made the best of it and now its working out for them.

If they were in rebuild mode I'd be more inclined to agree. But that team is stacked and is in a window to be able to win it all right now. They have a proven commodity in Jimmy G and have already made a Super Bowl with him at QB.
Yeah, 9ers are better with Jimmy G. Shanahan is a good enough coach to scheme around his lack of talent. Trey Lance has more talent but that doesn't make him a better QB
