I know, wrong forum.

Did anyone hear from Pugger? I know she lives right about where the storm came ashore.

Crazy to think the Pack were playing there three days ago to a full crowd.

Fine. I'm on the east coast, So we just had lots of wind, and some rain. 7 inches or so the last 4 days. Today the storm is almost due north of us and heading out to the Atlantic. By this afternoon it should be sunny. One of the strange things about hurricanes, after the storm, its almost always sunny. So you get to see the damage clearly.

I’ve been in central Florida since Tuesday working EMS flights. Was a mess initially but the recovery has been steady. Initially in Tampa but spent the last two days flying patients out of the Ft Myers area. Based at Page Field just outside the city. Lots of full hospitals looking to move patients but even the bigger hospitals are filling up. Flew a pt all the way to U of Miami today just because there was a bed available. Will be here til mid-week next week.

As a Floridian, Thank you.

You get to see the damage a storm causes firsthand. And it's devastating. I never had any idea what it was like until 2004. We had to go to NJ for my father in laws funeral last week. On the drive home, we saw so many power company trucks heading south. The only good thing that comes out of this storm and things like this is it is the only time we are all Americans. There is no division by race, region, sex, or political background.

As a country, we are at our best when the &%$@ hits the fan.

haha, that was sorta a tongue in cheek response :dunno: , in truth I think it's been a few years since natural disasters pulled us all together, people just don't love the country or each other as much any more, sad actually.

Haha yeah I actually thought it was. I thought it was funny.

There haven't really been any major disasters in a while. There were a couple hurricanes requiring a response from 2019-2021 but nothing like 2017, 2018, or Ian. The further away from the disaster, the less people come together, but closer to ground zero, there really is a lot of unity.

Hi guys! Hubby and I are still among the living. The devastation here in SW FL is mind numbing. Thankfully we were not in the flood area. We have minor damage to our home and can live in it. It is going to take years to clean up everything in this area.

Didn't see yesterday's game. We didn't get power until yesterday and no tv/cable/internet until today. Glad the Pack won.

Some sights from today. This was from a flight returning from Sarasota Mem'l to Ft Myers vic North Port. Some neighborhoods still underwater, lots of debris still laying around, tons of roof tarps.

Good to hear from you. Need anything, let me know. If I can't get it to you I have family and friends on that side of the state.
