This illustrates a conundrum. Removing Newman and moving Jenkins back to OG has been most peoples' wishes for the O-line. But those 2 have been better in the run game. Do you disrupt that to try to get better in pass protection?

Assuming Bakh is back fully, I still would like to see a change. I think these are the best 2 scenarios.

Jenkins to RG, Tom to RT.
Jenkins to LG, Runyan to RG, Tom to RT.
This is assuming that Nijman stays LT only, which appears to be the case. Even if not so, this is my preference.

Were the special teams good yesterday? They were OK. A few good plays and a few bad plays. Almost gave it away allowing a 20 yard punt return in OT.

Starting field position:
NE - OWN 25 (KO, TB)
GB - OWN 25 (KO, TB)
NE - GB 49 (on a fumble, NOT ST)
GB - OWN 20 (Punt, TB)
NE - OWN 8 (Punt, No Return)
GB - 50 (Punt, 4 yards to 35 + 15 yard horse collar)
NE - OWN 35 (KO)
GB - OWN 20 (Punt, TB)
NE - OWN 25 (Punt, No Return at 40 + 15 yard illegal blindside block)
GB - OWN 9 (Punt, No Return)
NE - 50 (Punt, 29 yard return)
GB - OWN 31 (on a fumble, NO ST)
GB - OWN 35 (KO, 34 yard return)
GB - OWN 19 (KO, 16 yard return)
NE - OWN 25 (KO, return from 7 to 39 + 10 yard holding)
GB - OWN 21 (KO, 16 yard return)
NE - OWN 34 (KO, 37 yard return)
GB - OWN 25 (KO, TB)
NE - OWN 25 (KO, 21 yard return)
GB - OWN 43 (Punt, no return OB after 31 yard punt)
NE - OWN 2 (Punt, no return)
GB - OWN 42 (Punt, 7 yard return to NE 48 + 10 yard illegal block)
GB - OWN 25 (KO, TB)
NE - OWN 49 (Punt, 20 yard return)
GB - OWN 10 (Punt, no return)

Took a step backwards on allowing longer returns. Ford not playing much on ST yesterday may have made a significant impact. But no massive screw-ups so far which I'm happy about.

wouldn't have been close if the refs didn't act like paid off game point controllers, constant OL holding not called, and when will the mega dollar NFL take clock management out of the responsibility of these paid for officials.

don't you have some viking forum to attend to?
Boy, that's rich. Something the Packers have been famously getting away with for years and you're calling it out? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that they learned how to cover their holds not to call on a regular basis. But for a Packer fan to be bitching about the other team's OL holding is priceless.
:rotf: Yikes Vikes!! This week you're no regular raptor... Vikes' 3-1 record has created a laser raptor!

meh, Newman's run-blocking justifies playing him over Hanson at RG, but it's not anything so great as to not consider moving Jenkins inside.

I want Tom at RT. I wonder if Rhyan would not be better suited out there, too. He has struggled so far at G but he was playing LT for UCLA so maybe he's an RT in this league. We also found guys like Ricky Wagner and Dennis Kelly off the scrap heap to play RT for us, why not go back to that well again?

I definitely don't want Hanson in there. My preference it Tom at RT, with Jenkins and Runyan as the 2 guards.

either way, my impression is that Jenkins is a left side player, he was a instant PB player at LG, I've always felt that where a player has demonstrated excellence thats where ya aught to play him if at all possible, he's struggled at RT ever since we put him there.

according to our OL coach Nijman has shown ability to play RT, same with Toms, I'd use the best of those two there, and let Runyan and Newman battle it out for RG, but whatever the coaches decide I'll live with as I find it tough to grade out OL

After dealing with some health issues I'll finally be back on the sidelines this week! Camera cart, packer side is where I will be. Hopefully I can provide some extra insight after. We are phone banned ussually from kickoff till halftime but should be able to add some things after the game
@NCF and I were in row 3 and continually were screaming 'JGAVALIA' everytime the camera crews were pushing around the 15 yardline, north end.

We really did kind of dominate this game. The big outlier being the red circle.

I feel like there is probably a lot more solid film out there on a play to play basis than the score reflects.

Packers had 10 drives outside of OT and the 1 play drives at the end of each half. Against the Vikings they had 10. Against the Bears they had 9. Against the Bucs they had 11.
12 including OT.

Don't suppose you have any clue what the league average is.
Spoiler
27/14 = 1.93
League Avg: 1.93
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/ ... /index.htm

That 1.93 is even including the two 1 play drives that ended each half, 2.25 without them.
