From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
The Green Bay Packers (3-3) start a three-game stretch on the road with a trip to play the Washington Commanders (2-4).
It is just the third time this century (2012 and 2016) that Green Bay plays three straight contests on the road.
The first game between Green Bay and Washington took place in 1932 and the Packers lead the regular-season series, 20-15-1 (.571), while also winning two of three postseason contests.
The two teams met last year in Week 7 in Green Bay, with the Packers winning, 24-10.
Including the postseason, Green Bay has won four of the last six matchups between the two teams.
The Packers' last win at Washington was a 35-18 victory in a 2016 NFC Wild Card contest.
Five of the last six contests between the two have been decided by 14-plus points (including playoffs).
QB Aaron Rodgers has started against Washington seven times (including postseason), and has thrown 16 TDs and one INT with a passer rating of 107.0.
This will be the second of three games scheduled at 12 p.m. CT in a four-week span. Green Bay is 14-4 in games played at 12 p.m. CT since 2019..

I noticed there isn't a GDT for this week's game yet. I would think this could be the week we get off the snide but who knows? What do you gentlemen think?

Hold your horses there! It is coming! I wait until Wednesday as things like the Dope Sheet and Broadcast are not available until Wednesday!

Oops! I didn't know there was a protocol. I just thought it would be therapeutic to talk about something other than the last 2 games.

Yeah, if you could go ahead and get the gameday thread up, that'd be great... Also, we need to talk about your TPS reports.

I almost forgot, I'm also gonna need you to go ahead and come in on Sunday too, okay. We lost some people this week and ah, we sorta need to play catch up.

Sounds like Dotson might end up missing the game too.
Our sure has lucked out with injuries and suspensions and schedule so far this year, they really should have better production.
Nice clean game. Smart D, for 4 quarter, no ST gaffes, need to get the running game going. Limit the brainfarts on the OL, hopefully with a new starting group which would exclude Newman.
Quinnen gave us fits last Sunday. Jonathan Allen and Da'Ron Payne are no joke, not to mention Montez Sweat at one of the EDGE spots.
Last time we faced them, we didn't run much, but we threw a lot of short passes outside, no doubt to avoid the interior DL. It was fairly successful, too. I have to imagine we see that kind of gameplan again.
And yeah, if any match-up should be an impetus for us to go with a new OL that moves Jenkins inside from RT, this is it. I will be kinda shocked if they start him at RT again. Not only do you need to do better against those DTs, you need to do better at T against a guy like Sweat. Yosh isn't ideal at RT but still probably more trustworthy protecting the QB.

any news on the OL reshuffle? or are we going to keep trotting Newman out for slaughter for a few more weeks, hell by that time he wont make good road kill for the coyotes :lol
Bulaga says move Jenkins back to LG, Runyan to RG, or RT, he played there some in college????? and Tom, Nijman to RT.
Sounds like a plan to me, we need to get this figured out now, imo this OL is the catalyst to most of problems with this offense, no time for Rodgers, and the RB's have to run through brick walls of 300+ lb DT to much, it's why there near the top in yac, but that banging takes a toll, probably why Matt limits there touch count.
Someone said in the Jets game day thread that this Packers squad is a very bad team. I am not ready to say that. But this game will be a good litmus test. If we lose to the Redskins, then I'm inclined to agree that this is indeed a very bad team. If we win, I'll continue to hold my current opinion which is that we are a team with young potential that is going through some growing pains. I know there have been other posters in the past who have taken heat for trying to use a single game to determine the team's identity. Usually try not to do that. But a loss in this game will definitely confirm that we suck, in my mind.

Going into the Dallas game 3 and 6 or 4 and 5 ... Wow imagine the vibe at Lambeau if either of those scenarios materialize. 5 and 4 coupled with a convincing win over Dallas is the best we can hope for now. Plus the press will be hyping McCarthy's return.
