that ejection came after he was penalized for unsportsman like conduct a minute later from the booth above, it was another in a long list of bull &%$@ ticky tacky calls that go against the Packers all season, and also makes me think the league is helping vegas beat the spread
I didn't have an issue with the flag. You have to not do that no matter what. But an ejection? I've seen other crap like that not evoke an ejection.
Pushing a player on the field is 1 thing. Pushing a player on the sideline is another. Pushing a coach who isn't padded up is something you can't do. It doesn't matter if the guy went down or anything like that. You can't allow things like that to happen. Quay was in the wrong and frankly I'm fine with the ejection. Nip that behavior as much as possible.

Start doing that for on the field stuff, then I have a problem with it. Like the taunting fiasco the league has created. But that's a different conversation.

Oh my goodness absolutely Walker needed to be ejected.

You can't have a football player suited up shove someone who is not in pads. I don't care how hard of a shove it is. It cannot be tolerated. Honestly I expect MLF to bench Walker this week too just to serve as an example.

It was a shove/push. Let's not make this out to be as if he jacked a guy up. Pads or no pads, that is all it was. Should he have done it? No. Should it have been a personal foul? Absolutely. Is it inexcusable? Yep. Ejectable? On the fence about that.

Turns out, the guy he shoved was an inactive (practice squad) player, not a coach.

I thought he deserved the ejection, and maybe he still does, but I am less sympathetic knowing it was a player.

Yeah 2018 was bad. Whatever, show me a good GM that hasn't had a bad draft. As for 2020, I think that one aged poorly, but not for reasons I would fault on Gute. To me, he was clearly grocery shopping for MLF in Day 2, who was in his second year, not him choosing the most talented guys straight-up. Remember how much MLF hyped up Deguara?

On that note, I think the offense that MLF envisioned running at the time is very different than the one he has ended up adopting after adapting it to Rodgers's preferences. MLF's pre-GB offenses didn't give many snaps to receivers other than WR1 and 2, those snaps went to RBs and TEs. It seems to me that that changed, entirely to accommodate Rodgers, who is used to having 3-4 WRs on the field and prefers throws to the outside rather than over the middle (and is allergic to checkdowns).

If MLF knew then what he knows now, I doubt we make those same picks.
I tell you what. Josiah Deguara could be a very key cog in this offensive machine the rest of this year and in the future if they use him right.

That dude can BLOCK. Not only is he blocking well in the open field as an H-back, but holy sh*t did everyone notice how long he held the opposing DE (don't think it was Miller) as an in-line TE last night?
At the half, Dungy highlighted a play where Deguara looked to be open deep downfield, Rodgers was even looking that way to throw, but the DT pushed Zach Tom into him for a sack before that could happen.

Deguara can play. It's kinda frustrating that while MLF and AR insist on involving our sub-par WRs in the offense heavily and asking them to do more than they are realistically capable of... all at the expense of capable players who could actually pick up the slack. Amari Rodgers should not be on the field over Deguara in any situation at all.
My thought about Deguara is that he is a touch better than Richard Rogers was. Once he catches a ball, he can actually run at least three yards downfield before being tackled. (Rogers had better hands.) And Deguara can occasionally break a tackle.

In the McCarthy regime, Rogers got plenty of playing time. In the MLF regime, Deguara gets plenty but mostly as a blocker/H-back. I would hope that we could use him to catch more balls, since we almost need to use the sets with 3 TEs.

I agree that Walker was justifiably disqualified. He acted forcefully against a non-combatant (for lack of better words). No tolerance for that from anybody. Period.

I am sure that Walker is probably a well-meaning person and very nice almost all the time. But when those guys are on the field, they are hyped up so that they can play at top level - within limits. He passed one of those limits.

Please be advised that the ticket agents have frozen Packers ticket purchases. Likely waiting for the market to pick up ... and waiting for the Packers to start winning again. This is quite a shift in perspective since losing to the WTFs.
The Dallas game still has some demand. No one cares about the Rams game right now.

right, one is just as bad as the other, I stand my ground, I don't need to be PC correct, it was a lousy call to eject Walker, he had just been pushed, by a guy on the Bills sideline and pushed a plain cloths player, it was a simple push, nothing really flagrant, and his ejection didn't happen right away with the penalty, it came from a booth review.

his loss cost us a 30 yrd reception later, Walker was one of our highest graded defensive players, all season long and for years prior the refs have determined the outcome of games, it's getting to be the new norm, NO one wants to believe the games are fixed or stacked to support the point spread, but ejections like this and the ticky tacky calls, many in the 4th quarter, make it appear that way.

Rules are rules.

You shove a person without pads during a game, you are ejected. It's not a hard rule to deter away from being black and white. Just like if you throw any variation of a punch, you are ejected from the game. Doesn't matter if the person you hit has a helmet and it didn't do any harm.

They are good rules for obvious reasons. I don't see much else to debate here.

so then it's OK to push a reporter.

rules are up to interpretation all the time, nothing is cut and dried, black and white, your right there is nothing else to debate here, it was a BS ejection, most of the time players are not ejected for a simple push, this is the nfl making a example and taking talent from our team, and Walker was having a great game, we needed him in center field.

I'm only gonna say this because I've seen you retreat to this "rigged" narrative a couple times now: the Packers beat the spread. Ejecting Walker did not have the effect you've been claiming it had.

That is all.

good to hear that the officials failed at there objective, and I'am not the only fan that thinks games looked RIGGED.

and WAlker was one of our highest graded defensive players till ejected, of course it hurt our defense not having him.

I expect the Dallas game to have a heavy contingent of Cowboy fans.

Should the Cowboys lay the wood to the Pack, in Mike McCarthy's return to Lambeau, with a lot of Dallas fans cheering the outcome in the stands, it will mark a real low point in what is turning out to be a not so fun season.

Little guy shouldn’t have put his hands on quay. Quay was in go mode and thought it was malicious. My only complaint with Quay is that if you are going to get ejected, you need to make it could. He should have done way more than a little push. Should have knocked him out and body slammed him.

In 15 snaps WAlker had 5 tackles and a PD, yet APB doesn't think the defense missed him, the rookie is on pace for 150 tackles and 12 PD's this season, as soon as he was out the Bills completed a big pass right where Walker would have been.

a little push gets a player ejected, a hand across the name tags is a horse collar, the nfl is becoming over board with these protection rules and interpretating what constitutes a ejection, and games appear rigged, it's to the point people will just quit going to games and watching.
