why we didn't resign Jarrod Cook will remain a mystery forever, to Dump him for the always bitchy Bennett never made much sense to me.

Based on what was reported at the time, it seemed like Cook's agent screwed up. He asked for too much, so the Packers signed both Bennett and Kendricks for just a bit more than Cook alone wanted. Then Cook sat on the market about a week before the Raiders finally signed him.
