From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
Hilarious how Rudy is massively outperforming two first rounders for 2019.
I can certainly see the hilarity in waiver wire pickup Rudy Ford outperforming 2019 1st round safety Abram who the Packers took a flyer on after he failed with the Raiders and who now is available to play for his third team this month.
As for the other 2019 1st round safety pick Savage, whom the Packers traded two 4th round picks in addition to their own 1st round pick in order to move up and select when there were a number of really good players at positions of need on the board at their original #30 pick and who somehow was given an undeserved and guaranteed 5th year contract, I can think of a lot of words to describe the fact that Ford has massively outperformed him in 2022 to the point that Ford started in Savage's place on Sunday in Philly, but hilarious would not be one of them.
The decision in 2020 to select Jordan Love has been analyzed to death and still remains open to debate and discussion.
Many also argued about the merits of using a 2019 1st round pick on Rashan Gary until he proved his worth to all but a few holdouts in 2021.
There has been near unanimity among Packer fans and followers that 2018 1st round pick on Jaire Alexander was a home run.
Surprisingly, the Pack's decision to use its other 2019 1st round pick and the #21 pick overall on Darnell Savage has not been discussed nearly as much and has mostly flown under the radar. I wonder if that changes going forward given the level of his play and the fact he is guaranteed to be in Green Bay in 2023 or at least guaranteed to be paid by Green Bay in 2023.
Winning Rookie of the Month does not, a good player, make.
Yeah, was gonna say they just had to go and ruin the celebratory mood by grouping him with Damarious Randall...
Or the other two, for that matter. Gado was a nice story but ultimately a JAG that didn't amount to much. Lacy was a legit NFL talent but sadly ate himself out of the league after Year 2.
That said, we are $$$ at Round 2 WRs so he's got this.

Watson has been regressing. Bust in the making. Went from 3 TD, to 2 TD, to only 1 TD last game.
Fire Gute! MLF, the OC and the receivers coach as well. Don't stop there, Murphy, and all board members on the executive committee gotta go as well. Oh and revoke the season tickets of anyone who cheered for him.

The irony is this is what should actually happen.
No. We just have to get rid of Aaron Rodgers. Not the worst QB in Packer history, but a definite hindrance to our success. Prior to Rodgers, in 85 years the Packers won 12 titles. One ever 7 years. Now with AR on the team, 17 years and only 1 title, he has obviously way underperformed to the Packer standard of excellence.

Frankly I would settle for winning a home playoff game. And now he is in obvious decline and the Packers will never see the playoffs again while he is on the payroll.

And if you noticed, that TD vs Philly came from Love. Now you know one of the ways Rodgers has ruined so many rookie WR's, refuse to throw them a good pass and blame them for not being in the right place or failing to make a difficult catch. Love had only 4 catches on 6 targets. With Love at QB he had 2 catches on 2 targets for a 1st down on 3rd down and the TD on the other. Rodgers expects a rookie to play like Davonte Adams in his prime and if he does not all he gets is thrown under the bus. Anything to take the blame off Rodgers and put it onto a 23 year old rookie when a pass is incomplete.
It goes for TE's too, how long did it take Rodgers to realize that Tonyan has great hands and it was a good idea to target him? Except in playoff games of course. How many TE's never mad it out of their rookie contract?

Not to be rude but just how stupid are you?
You started it. Thought the goal was to post something really stupid. Afterall, firing the HC who won the most games in his first 3 years in NFL history in year 4 doesn't exactly make you look like Einstein (not to mention taking season tickets away from fans who cheer for someone you don't like)
Hubby and I were at this game! We took a bus from the Goal Post Inn on Manitowoc Road because we couldn't get the car out of the garage. It was a blast. If anyone without a ticket could have got over there the ground was covered with unused tickets at each gate. In the end we all ended up in the south end zone so the wind and snow was at our backs. I had to constantly scoop snow out of my beer cup. There were no lines for concessions or the rest rooms (this was well before the upper concourse was added). You could see fans tobogganing down the aisles on flattened cardboard boxes in the north end zone! It was hard to see some of the action and the Bucs were wearing all white uniforms. John McKay was not happy the game was played in those conditions and to add insult to injury they had to stay over Sunday night because the airport was closed.
