Football 101, is not hanging your QB out to dry,
Which you complained we were doing with bad OL play, now inexplicably act like OL is not on par with skills for importance because they... don't score points.

Weird that your own post history agrees with what I'm saying, until you randomly decide you want to die on the hill of a totally different opinion.
never said ya don't need quality OL play, but imo ya don't need pro bowl talent there to be a good offense, first thing Ted did was dump the high priced guards and draft replacements, and add a couple receivers for Favre, and then another 3 in the next few years for Rodgers, cause thats what it takes to win in this league, building a great defense is a act in futility, minus a ton of top 15 picks it's doubtful it will ever be top 10, and if it should beat the odds and become that good, it has such a short shelf life it rarely lives up to that investment for long, soooooo, IMHO you do your do diligence and draft both sides of the ball, but with a preference for players that put points on the score board, Ted new that, then since 2015 he neglected to do that, and we've been losing PO games ever since.

for the last 3 to 4 years this defense has had all star talent, hows that worked out?
Seriously what are you talking about?

You are trying to make connections of "winning" Ted prioritizing WR but not Oline which is completely false. He prioritized both. You mention he took Greg Jennings when he also took Daryn Colledge in the SAME ROUND in that draft.

Wide Receivers taken top 2 rounds: (5) - Murphy, Jennings, Nelson, Adams, Cobb
Oline taken top 2 rounds: (4) - Colledge, Bulaga, Sherrod, Spriggs

You are also trying to make a connection of Ted focusing on offense when his SB team was largely won due to contributions of his prioritization of defense in the 2009 NFL Draft.

You finally try to make a connection that Ted suddenly "pivoted" in 2015 and lost PO games ever since. When in reality the amount of seasons Ted Thompson had of winning playoff records is 1 season.

I get it. You're grasping. But nothing you are grasping at makes any sense. The Packers have always had a top offense and that top offense has given us the same results year after year. We also have had some seasons with great defenses. One season it was good enough. The others the rest of the team let us down. But this pigeon holing to all our problems being linked to lack of attention at the WR position is so wrong. There were many, many variables why we lost.

WR (including the best in the game) dropped balls. Rodgers missed reads. Rodgers missed throws. Lewis and Jones fumbled. The STs blundered. The defense broke down. The refs had a questionable call. There are so many damn variables that are in play.

I feel horrible I got sucked in this stupid argument because this response won't change anything. Your "7 drops in the PO's" will grow to 9 next week when you get even more heated on this topic.

who's heated, your the one who seems pissed off, probably because we've spent nearly every high pick on defense, and as I've said it's barely achieved top 10 status once.

and of the 5, 2nd round receivers, 4 became studs, of the 4 OL taken, 1 became a very good player, the rest where jags.

I agree the addition of Raji and Mathews where a big part of that SB win, but so where GJ, Nelson, Jones and Driver, probably the best 4 receivers Rodgers ever had at one time, your right there will always be mistakes and dropped passes, thing is the more good players you have the more likely the ability to over come them, last season we where down to Adams and Jones, we make it easy for defenses to shut down our offense because we have/had a shortage of quality impact offensive players, the whole football world knows this, it's commented about regularly, here though you and others know better :rotf:

Hey Raptor, who is your pick to win the Super Bowl this year?
After this week, if I had to pick 2 teams in the SB, it would be the Bills and Niners. With the niners takinng it.
I can get on board with that pick. Except I think KC represents the AFC. Seems like SF has at least 1 All Pro at every position group.
I don't think KC can go to Buffalo and win. The Bills already beat them in KC.

Brock Purdy will be found out. It is usually the case with a rookie 1st time starter that they can do really well at first. THEN comes the tape study by the opposing defenses.
Purdy will be fine as long as the defense keeps it up. It's a lot easier to win when you only have to score 18 points to do it. Just ask Tom Brady.

Playoffs are a different animal. I think the KC squad has more playoff experience, which will work in their favor. Also, Allen is fantastic but is prone to making some bonehead decisions in crunch time. It's damned close but I'd still take KC.
