Enagbare had a nice first half, but Nixon really impressed

Nobody really stood out.

I think my vote is (in order):

1. Kieshan Nixon. Finally someone is bringing a spark on STs
2. AJ Dillon. He had the potential of a monster game had he not gotten hurt. He ran with purpose.
3. Quay Walker. A lot of missed plays but a lot of made plays.
4. Offensive Line. They were dominant. But did allow a few losses to guys like Floyd and honestly their expectation level is rising.
5. Romeo Doubs. He is really good.

I think I'll go with Dillon. After he left the running game sputtered. Nixon would be my other choice. It is nice to have a returner like this.

In the spirit of the game, I will go with Quay.

Nixon was great, but it's become kind of expected at this point. He won one of these for a performance much like this. At this point, I would like to see him take one the distance for me to vote for him. Dillon's two TDs were nice but his overall stat-line is not above my expectations.

But I thought Quay in this game looked pretty close to what I was hoping to see from him. You take a few whiffs from a rookie LBer if they show they can make plays, and he did.

The sack was very impressive. I loved the TFL where he crashed through the running lane. He had the PBU which, man, if he can reel it in, he gets a TD. Actually I think he may have had 2 PBUs. Loved what I saw from him.

If someone would have taken Preston Smith, I would go with his 3 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 TFLs and 4 QB hits.

Quay Walker gets my votes.

I can’t really get behind voting for someone who made both positive and negative plays - Quay. Dillion only had 36 yds rushing, which was the same as Nixon on punt returns alone. I’ll go with Doubs with several big catches in his return.

I'm going Enegbare.

Quay is very deserving as is Wyatt and Nixon.

I thought Joe Berry did well for the most part in having a much more aggressive game plan - except for the secondary. What is with these big cushions when it's 3rd and short? And Rasul gets special recognition for a lackluster performance. Maybe the most disappointing player this season.

Ya, it was constant last night and not just on 3rd and short, but almost every 3rd down.

Going with a huge underdog and voting for Innis Gaines. That hit on the opening kick-off set the tone for the entire game.

Nixon. Because we haven't seen someone like that back there for God knows how long. Quite refreshing not starting inside your own 20 on every kickoff.

Quay, Dillon and Smith get honorable mention.

I'm going with Quay, but I'm glad Thump Gaines got some notice (thanks, NCF). He got the Thump nickname in college for good reason and I'm hoping for a really big year from him in 2023.

Clark had a good game. I could have gone with Rasul with his 8 tackles, a PD, and the INT, if he didn't make the idiotic flip back to no one after the INT. Tonyan had a good catch and run for a 1st, some nice blocks, the tackle on the Jones ripoff.

Nixon was great. You can see those returns spark the whole team, had 3 tackles, and got face masked to add another 15 on one return.

I'm going with Quay, 10 tackles, 2 PDs, QB hit and forced fumble and a sack.
