From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
It kinda goes up and down throughout the season. Early on the Giants were massively celebrating the fact they beat the Mighty Packers.
But as the season spiraled - it didn't seem like such a great accomplishment anymore.
And now, as GB gathers some momentum these last few games - they are once again a tough out. Can the 2022 Packers beat "good" teams ?
The next 3 weeks will provide the answer. Looking forward to it.

I think the answer lies in the defense. The offense is playing with confidence now and seems to move the ball well and do well enough in the Red Zone. If they score 4 TDs or more against Miami, that confidence will become strut. And then the defense can tolerate playing downhill, and not this quagmire thing that is has been much of the year.

Gotta get away from the read and react defensive style Barry had preferred.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
The offense was trash most of the year because Lafleur and rodgers pretended rookies should know everything Rodgers, Lafleur, and Cobb knows.
I saw it was by Florio and I pretty much knew what was coming.
Anyway, me thinks Rodgers doth protest too much. This is not the first time we've heard of Rodgers using signals/audibles/plays from years ago. I remember this same kind of thing was alleged after 2017. Now, we have on-the-record quotes from teammates who are still under contract and presumably not disgruntled (unlike Martellus Bennett).

Interestingly, no team the Packers have lost to at this point in the season is under .500...
Packers are only behind the Bears for Strength of Schedule. Tied with the Commanders.
Not the best year to play the NFC East and AFC East.
Yeah. Basically the NFC North pulled the East divisions so the worst teams in the NFC North will have the strongest SoS since everyone else beat the on the low teams in the NFC North

And we are currently 2-5 vs the 'easts', still waiting on Miami. And both our wins required decent comebacks and overtime.

One of those wins was against something called a Bailey zappe
My 2 cents is complimentary football is the way forward... and an improved offense is the best defense of all.
Hey ............ these things have been around for at least 61 years starting with the 1961 Packers that crushed the Giants in the NFL Championship Game 37 to 0. 37 to EFFEN 0. Now that's one helluva defense and offense and special teams performance! All 3 facets + clock management working together as one well oiled machine. The offensive line blocking was tremendous.

Complimentary football isn’t a new concept. But part of that complimentariness is about the defense occasionally being able to force turnovers and getting off the field on third down.

I'm not going to buy into the "Packers are a hot/dangerous 7th seed" talk until Rodgers starts hitting throws like he did in the 2010 & 2016 Playoffs. Right now he's still too off to get excited.
