not only didn't you want to resign him, you said 95% of second contract RB's fail, which is a over the top % and just a generic guess, you also guessed that if Jones went elsewhere he would fail and probably be cut after just one season, none of that has come to pass. actually Jones has become one of the most productive players in the whole league, all the reservations people here had, money, health, talent, productivity, lacked merit.
Don't take this wrong, all those reason are valid with a lot of RB's, but to say those things about who Jones was two years ago didn't really apply, he was cusping, just reaching his prime, another 1500 yrd season again, over 7000 yrds in 6 seasons, Aaron Jones has been the best resign of Guty's career, not even close.

Agreed. Just use your third and 2nd to jump up to the late 1st or early 2nd round.

I don't know if I didn't want to re-sign him, but now that you mention it, I do remember figuring that he'd probably fail and be cut and wind up with us again, which I still think may have happened because offensive skill players do that from time to time. Like if he went somewhere that was a bad scheme fit and they also overpaid (neither of which happened).

Guard may be his best fit, I'am surely not against have PB guards, if ya want to be a running the ball offense then why draft for pass pro success, which is a fair description of our drafting myers over that other C we passed on to take him, I think everyone here liked the other guy more.

I know Jenkins looked out of place at RT, but some of that could be just rust and lack of playing time for a year, I hope we don't have to move him, but still think he could do that better now that he trust his leg more and has played himself back into his previous form.

Jenkins was a great draft pick, Myers, not so much.
