It was a video. It was a fairly innocuous question. I do not believe there was any nefarious motive behind the question. I do not believe there is anything wrong with the answer Doubs gave. I do not believe the answer implicated Aaron Rodgers in anything or cast him a poor light.
are you serious? so then you think it's the norm for news people to be inquisitive about whether rookies spend after hour time with HOF QB's twice there age, that was a totally off the wall question, what Doubs should have said is, what did Rodgers say, I don't want to put my QB on the spot.

Maggie and Perlof :idn:
It was a lighthearted attempt at levity during the interview. She asked Doubs to describe his favorite off-field memory with Rodgers. No agenda, no attacking of Rodgers. Just a moment to share a feel-good memory and perhaps even shine some positive light on the veteran QB.

Doubs only issue here is he was honest. He literally hasn't shared any off-field time with his QB. I suppose he could have deflected and simply said he'd just as soon keep personal interactions with team mates private but I can't fault the guy for just being honest in the moment.

If you wanna be mad at somebody, look toward Rodgers. I wouldn't expect a rookie 4th rd WR to attempt to make social plans with the 16 year HOF bound vet. If it were to happen, though, it'd be on Rodgers to make that gesture.

Rookie mistake, lack of training on dealing with the media. One should always lie to the media. Hel learn.

Rodgers wasn't even involved lol

The 4th round rookie is an idiot.

"Man aaron is just such a great guy, when he talks we just take it in cause we know what he has achiev3d in the league. It's great having someone like that in the lockerroom to learn from"

Done next question. Not hard.

and we don't know that Rodgers hasn't spent time in the past with rookies socially, she could have asked a lot of different personable questions, such as have you hung around with some of the players socially, versus have you spent social time with Aaron Rodgers, she zeroed in on there 1 on 1 relationship, and you and I both know these questions are choreographed, in that she had a list of questions she intended to ask, and Doubs relationship with Rodgers was on it.

I wonder how many starting QB's around the league invite rookies to Diner when they go out with other vets or friends

blue check mark :rotf:

did ya read a few responses? hilarious,

" who in the blue hell is this guy" block that twitter account lol.

" The deal sending Rodgers to the Jets for a 2023 2nd rounder and a 2024 3rd is done.
The teams are waiting for after the Superbowl to announce it."

some Jets fans want him, or Carr, or another big name ol vet.

but a 2 is out of the question, I don't care where he goes as long as we get a 1st, and preferably a top 10 slot, maybe a stud player to sweeten the deal, a WR would be a big help for Love.

Let’s say that Rodgers is traded. Which of the plethora of veteran QBs would Green Bay bring in to backup Love?

Given our cap, i draft one and get a scrub near vet min FA.

Zero interest in paying for Dalton or Mayfield.

Yes externally, but internally the avenue for improvement is about as wide as yoop's catheter tube.

Ya, get that image out of your head now! Ha!!

It was a joke. I think that was pretty obvious.

This team really needs to tear down and rebuild. The longer they wait they only hurt themselves.

Bukkowskis an idiot. Teams a few plays short of their goal should avoid sweeping changes and “run it back”. This teams run it back with the same losers 3 years in a row and the results have gotten worse each try. Teams that miss playoffs shouldn’t run it back, they should look in the mirror.

Now the cap situation is worse, the qb is a year older, and Love continues to rot on the bench. The soon to be second year WRs aren’t for Rodgers to build chemistry with. He avoided that responsibility. They are for Love to grow and have a future with. Those are his guys.

Running it back failed. The org is delaying the inevitable because they lack confidence they can actually “build it back” without rodgers

I agree with nearly every word of this. "Losers" is a little harsh but the reality is whatever window there was with this current roster has closed. As you rightly point out - they're in decline, not progression. Time to retool.

We're all guilty of poking fun at one another. Nothing wrong with that, within reason.

Let's not build this into something it wasn't.

Making fun of your health?? Do you have a catheter???

It's my fault completely. I should have realized a sense of humor was lacking in those 2 and all they come here to do is fight. Again, my fault.
