Packers near the tops in all categories, great to see. Could be a nice argumentative piece when negotiating with players about staying or coming here.

It’s interesting.

A lot is about the facilities themselves not the staff, so that doesn’t. I think the training room stuff isn’t about being a player’s coach either. Stuff like nutrition staff doesn’t seem like it would be stronger for a playersz’ coach (usually more permissive) than a disciplinarian

So in short, I don’t think that theory translates overall, but for a few categories it might

The facilities, definitely nothing to do with the coach and honestly have no idea of the weighted elements to the survey.

Yeah, I mean it definitely sounds like the issues for the Ravens with the training and coach do extend upwards to coaching staff and front office, so there's definitely something to that.

I think it's a variable. I heard a "work life balance" was a thing that people answered and they found more hours didn't correlate to more wins. So my guess is that goes into "treatment of families" a lot in the column.

But it is primarly facilities based and nutrition based.

I was surprised to see the Packers were as high as they were. I felt like we heard reports in the late MM days that the Packers facilities were outdated and the training staff were old fashioned. Even things like the only beverage available in the cafe was soda. So it's good to see some improvement there.

not sure where or from who you got that information GPG, but I've been on several full faciality tours prior to 2010 with the now retired Karen Bengston, including locker and training room, and it looked state of the art to me, can't speak to refreshments in the cafe, but I'd think bottled water was available.

I new without even looking that the Packers would grade high in this comparison.

Well they graded well in lots of areas except the facilities are still not "state of the art" in NFL terms. Above average. But not state of the art.

Interesting Packers are 5th for weight with an A.

Then also 5th for treatment of families with a B+.

Seems like an area all teams can probably work on to help schmooze the players.

Also that Training Staff and Strength Coaches are 10th and 15th with an "A".

Which means everyone graded their people well.

Treatment of Families (B+, tied for 5th out of 32 teams)
The Packers do not offer daycare, one of 11 teams that do not offer that service, but they do offer a family room.
The post-game gathering area ranked 11th.

Food Service / Nutrition (A, tied for 1st)
Quality of food was tied for 2nd. The team provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Weight Room (A, tied for 5th)
According to the players, the facility features a top-of-the-line weight room, and 96% of the players believe they have enough strength coaches.

Strength Coaches (A, tied for 10th)
The strength staff provides the players with an individual strength plan, according to 98% of the players, which tied for 7th.

Training Room (B-, tied for 12th)
The team’s worst grade.
Only 82% of the players felt they have enough certified athletic trainers and, worse than that, only 73% feel they have enough physical therapists, both of which ranked 23rd in the NFL.

Training Staff (A-, tied for 15th)
It was the team’s worst ranking among all categories, despite an A- grade “because most teams rated their training staff positively.”

Locker Room (B, tied for 14th)
The responses received indicated that individual lockers do not have padded seats.
The locker room as a whole needs to be renovated because, according to the players, it is “starting to feel old.”

Team Travel (A, tied for 4th)
There are no roommates on the road and the team plane includes “a lot of first-class seats.”
