I have for some time completely ripped on the Falcons and their handling of the TE position, and now its getting worse.
They had a decent pro bowl TE in Austin Hooper. They decide to let him walk and get other FAs (no comp pick) and then the same offseason they traded a 2nd for Hayden Hurst.
The next offseason, they spent the #4 overall pick, who has at this point contributed 3 TD's in two seasons, on Kyle Pitts.
Then they let Hayden Hurst just walk for nothing next offseason.
Now this offseason, they trade for Jonnu Smith, and they will be on the hook for about $21M over the next two years on his current contract.
Going to be north of $20M in cap space this year and next on TE between Pitts and Smith.
What an absolute disgraceful use of resources on the games least important position. But I guess we are in no position to judge with our current 800K in cap space currently allotted this year looking at our group.

The Raiders QB situation just became more dire:
Mike White no longer an option for the Jets:
Didn't know Patrick Peterson is a FA. He has named three teams he would like to play for (Cincy, Dallas, Philly), saying he's chasing a ring.
