We absolutely could have had our cake and eaten it in 2020 and 2021.

People wonder why Rodgers was gnarly, neglect.Drj820 wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 19:44We did what we’ve done for a decade…tell rodgers to figure out the offense, while the GM whiffs on defensive selectionsYoop wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 19:32Insane, we paid Rodgers overt 200 mil. dollars since 2018 and spent most of our resources on a average defense.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 17:58
Labrev is mad at Rodgers because he gave his mom the absolute business. Right now the league is in position where most teams either already have a franchise QB, a young QB who could be a franchise QB, or are in position to draft one. One top of that they can’t afford the contract because a ton of teams are still dealing with the Covid years.
I think what most of the league knows is that Gutenbumst is a $%@# idiot.
Andy Herman just talked about it today. Gutenbumst tried to have their cake and eat it too. They wanted to go all in and build for the future and ultimately that gets you nothing. You can’t sacrifice the futures cap and draft for the future. That’s stupid. We needed to either move on or go all in. We tried doing both and failed miserably. It further just proves my theory this team doesn’t have Super Bowl as their top priority. I’ve been saying it for years but they just want to be good enough to raise ticket prices.

All the games we lost in the playoffs from 2019-2021 we weren’t the better team. The 49ers were significantly better. The Buccs were significantly better. The 49ers we matched on offense and defense but our STs were so bad it made them significantly better. Had we not wasted an entire draft class and the vast majority of another I think things would be different.

This is just a lazy, easy take. Say the teams who beat us were obviously better and would win regardless. It's your biggest blind spot; you see Packer holes with a magnifying glass and opposing team holes as if they're so far away they look like pinholes.
Every team has flaws and the Packers easily had the roster to win a championship in those two years. You just need to rationalize the narrative that we didn't to fit your own agenda.

Were we better than the Buccs? They clapped our cheeks with Bak early in the year and they were missing Vea.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 20:35We were better than the Bucs until Bakh blew out his knee.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 20:24All the games we lost in the playoffs from 2019-2021 we weren’t the better team. QB was a wash. We had them on RBs. WR they dominated us. TE they omega dominated us. Oline they dominated us. Defense they omega dominated us. Not sure what you were looking at.
Every team is flawed sure. But we definitely didn’t do everything we could to limit those by taking an entire draft to invest in backup players.

Packers had what it took to beat San Fran at Lambeau and Tampa Bay at Lambeau. Rodgers and LaFleur choked in the 4th quarter of both games. T'was disgusting. Same goes for the 2022 season finale versus the Lions. If he departs the pattern I will be guilty of witnessing first hand LIVE at LAMBEAU Brett Favre's and Aaron Rodgers' last game at Lambeau wearing a Packers jersey.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 20:35We were better than the Bucs until Bakh blew out his knee.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 20:24All the games we lost in the playoffs from 2019-2021 we weren’t the better team. Maybe if we hadn’t left bakhs backup on an island with no help all game things could have worked out better. Or maybe we shouldn’t have toyed with the lineuplupedafiasco wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023 21:15Were we better than the Buccs? That's what this forum needs.
Another "Rodgers didn't win it" vs "the Packers were the worst team to ever make a conference title game" debate.

When the stats show Rodgers outplayed the other qb, it isn't really a debate that the Packers were the worse team.
The ineptitude of our management and coaching staff is what primarily comes up in big games.
Rodgers has won a sb as a qb. Gute as gm no. Mlf as coach no.

I consider it the same situation as Justin Harrell, Dumbarious Randall, Kevin King, Ted Thompson, list goes on but for brevity. Packers fans will be fake as $%@# for as long as they !@#$ ily can and once they’re finally gone they will say something yeah they weren’t that good. We will see the same coming about Gutenbumst very very soon.

It’s a good ole boy network in GB. Good ole boy Murphy promotes in house from Ted T to Gutebumkst. Then the good ole boys demand choir boys. They drop kylin hill for having personality. We have fans year after year that treats the good ole boy club like a local operation and beg for college coaches from northwestern and wisconsin to come coach in Green Bay lol. Year after year mediocre big ten guys get on our radar as fan favorites in the draft.
We need killers. We need winners. The operation needs to go global. When the tv audience goes global in January…the good ole boys melt. From the awe shucks coach, to the hippy qb, to the “good story” good ole boys scrubs like Lazard or Tonyan..you can pick whoever you want to blame and you will be right.
Packers choke when they leave Rodgers field in Chicago and play under the global bright lights of the NFL playoffs.

Aww, this guy thinks you win in the pros by having the "better team." We had what it took to win championships in 2020 and 2021 (and for that matter 2014 and 2019 and possibly 2016 if our whole team doesn't get the flu). Our guys choked or otherwise didn't perform in the moment, or the gameplan was subpar.
We can say sure, Gutekunst should have gotten an additional CB or WR or whatever. Or MLF should have fired Drayton before ST came back to bite us. Or that Rodgers should have spent extra time throwing to younger WRs in the offseason. All of those things are probably true. But our teams in those seasons were good enough and could have won it all a reasonable % of the time.
