Clearly without Rodgers being GM anymore, Gutey passed the job down to Bisaccia now.

Looks like Rob Davis has been brought back into the Packers fold in an administrative role:

That was a quintessential pivotal date in the storied history of the Green Bay Packers. 44 months after that press conference was held was the biggest Packers win since Super Bowl 2.

Here's a snippet from The Athletic on the 2024 Free Agent class

Rashan Gary is ranked # 10

"Gary has never produced a 10-sack season and is coming off a torn ACL. So why is he this high ? Since the start of 2021, he’s been a terrifying pass rusher, posting 15 1/2 sacks, 40 QB hits and an 18.9 percent pressure rate — second-best among edge rushers (Micah Parsons, 20.8) in that span — in 25 games.

That trajectory puts him in position for a contract worth well north of $20 million annually. We’ll see if the Packers have any hesitation paying Gary, who doesn’t turn 26 until December, after his injury. If they let him play out the final year of his contract, he would be a likely franchise-tag candidate."

Dexter Lawrence # 5
Quinnen Williams 6
Brian Burns 7
J. Simmons was 8, now signed
Tee Higgins is # 9

# 27 on the 2024 Free Agent list is OT Yosh Nijman

Nijman is far from a household name, but he’s played left tackle (782 snaps) and right tackle (528) since 2020 at an above-average level. Those guys get paid, and paid big. He’s been best on the left, allowing three sacks and a 2.94 percent pressure rate, compared to five and 4.36, respectively, on the right. A restricted free agent this offseason, Nijman received the second-round tender (worth $4.3 million) from the Packers. He could push for $17 million or more annually on his next deal.

from Bill Huber

" In electing not to re-sign receiver Allen Lazard (and perhaps Randall Cobb) and tight end Robert Tonyan (and perhaps Marcedes Lewis), general manager Brian Gutekunst opted to let Love forge relationships and chemistry with the young receivers rather than having him try to build harmony with players who played thousands of snaps with Aaron Rodgers."

This is in sync with the Ron Wolf roster building mantra: " Draft the offense so they all grow together and use FA and trades to bolster the defense"

His reasoning was that the offensive playbook takes much longer to assimilate while the defenders can get up to speed sooner

I get it, but man...

Hearing David Bakhtiari say that the team is "probably going to suck anyway" this year, because they're "rebuilding whether you want to say it or not" is just, like, really discouraging from a team leader perspective.

Yeah, it's not huge.

And with him also talking later in a different segment about how he's reached the point where he's going to enjoy the game and approach it the same because he loves to ball and he stays within what he can control, it's not like it will affect his play.

And it's true. I say the same thing; the team needs to shift to rebuild mode and no one/no contract is untouchable... I agree with him.

But gosh, you just like to hear guys filled with hope and wanting to beat the odds rather than accept what is and set low expectations.

But I totally get it.

Comments like that really explain why this team didn't seal the deal in our 2020-2021 championship push, despite having everything they needed to do it. With attitudes like that, no wonder they gave up before Q2 started in 2021 at home vs SF, and couldn't capitalize on multiple mistakes by TB in 2020. And the sad part is, it hardly surprises me to hear this.

Taking your draft crush or must-have FA signing does not fix this problem. You can have all the talent in the world. This is a systemic/cultural problem that pervades an 'org.

Love and/or MLF should call out his ass. They won't, but they would be right to.

Hey, David! We sucked last year, with the reigning MVP at QB, AND WITH YOU!!! Did you know you were going to suck then like you are so sure now? With roster talent that should have easily locked down a Wild Card spot?

Bak realizes the absolute &%$@ show of resource management that is Gutenbumst. The team isn’t going to suck because they’re moving to an unproven QB. They’re going to suck because for the second straight year they going to have more dead cap than what the QB costs.

I don’t need to milk anything. We will be spending more for players not on the team than the QB position. That’s a fact. When you carry that much dead cap you are $%@#. No way around it.

As for the team attitude that’s on the coach. LaFleur is a little puss boy. He stutters all over the place, sounds weak, and when he was up there at the podium practically in tears saying we need our QB back in the worst way I lost all respect for him as a leader.

Bakhtiari's attitude is on Bakhtiari. He also referred to the team as "they" not "we" which to me says a lot about his attitude. For someone who couldn't fight his way through the injuries to play, it tells me all I need to know about him.

Damm this screams like he wants out.
Going to suck ... referring to packers as they ... seems like the players or older group really don't like pack management.

Man, I listened to the whole thing prior to it becoming viral, and I had no issue with it. Just thought he was genuine and was speaking in hypotheticals if you listen to it all in context. I had zero issue with it, found the whole
Interview very refreshing for someone to be so candid, on all things. Sucks this blew up like it did, because now others will be more likely to stay reserved and say only pc garbage.

Guessing the high drama folks didn’t listen to the whole thing, just you know, love them some drama.
