Your Top 5 - Packers Draft
Seems we do this every year, and I love it.
No need for extra chatter and back-and-forth discussion, just drop the 5 prospects you MOST want to be Packers by the end of this weekend. It can all be 1st rounders. It can all be day 3. It can be duplicative (like for instance wanting Bijan Robinson or Jamir Gibbs). Just Gimme 5

Usually, I spread mine throughout the draft. But I find myself having a lot of top 50 favorites this year, and with 3 picks, I might stay there
1. JSN
2. Nolan Smith
3. Darnell Washington
4. Jonathan Mingo
5a. Darnell Wright
5b. Matthew Bergeron
(yeah I cheated)

Also quite literally every EDGE and TE prospect sounds good to me some a bit more than others but there are numerous guys I would be very excited about.

The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

2nd best.
best that will be available to us.
I think he is going to be very good.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
I hardly looked at DT cause I sure as heck don't want to draft a DT, ever before round 3, so I never even looked at Mingo, I just figured with a name like Mingo he must be a DT, right?
Carter will be long gone, unless his off field baggage turns all the GM's in front of us off he'll be out of our reach, and if he fell to us I would be very leary of taking him

I will say I have also come back around to Brian Branch, even if he's not a special athlete. I think he will be a good one all the same, in a way we can use a lot.
I actually see a lot of Keisean "I woke up feeling like a Ferrari" Nixon in his game, a guy who's got good enough athleticism, and then a swagger that makes him play above the measurables.
There's a volume theory of value that holds that good every-down players are more valuable than elite rotational players, such that a guy like Branch who grades in the 80s may actually be an overall more valuable player than a guy like LVN who (let's say) grades in the 90s but is part of a rotation, because the volume of good snaps you get from Branch helps you more.
I like him the same way I like Kincaid, the teens are probably a little too high for a guy without truly special athletic traits, but he's a good player at the end of the day and I am comfy with the idea of taking him in the 20s after trading back. And in Branch's case, the draft class is weak at his position.

Kincaid is a late bloomer, only played 1 year of HS football, and is one of the better receiving TE's to come out, has the agility skills of a BB player, Kincaid will be the shock of tonights draft, wouldn't surprise me to see him taken before any other receiver.Labrev wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023 09:36I will say I have also come back around to Brian Branch, even if he's not a special athlete. I hope to heck Guty doesn't use slot 13 on a groomer player.

Think just for sitting at 13.
I'll make the assumptions that Young, Stroud, Richardson and Levis all go. Then Anderson, Wilson, Carter and Gonzalez all go.
That is 8, so remaining guys I'd want in order
JSN
Paris Johnson Jr.
Skoronski
Murphy
That is only 12, so literally might miss out on all my top 12. But I'd be very happy with any of those 4 above.
Then Maybe..
Smith
Foskey
Wright
Maybe some of the CB's, honestly never really dug into them a ton.
