Packers Sign WR Travis Fulgham
Who says we did not add any WR's in the offseason?

Mediocre speed, very good agility drills. 36.5" vert and 10'6" broad are solid, too. So he's not athletically lacking

Just to immediately over-hype our waiver claim

We officially LOVE tall recievers. I want to go back and see the height of every receiver we brought in over the last 2+ years.

I mean, yes, we have
Pre-2018
Moore: 6' 2 5/8"
MVS: 6'4"
EQSB: 6' 4 3/4"
Kumerow: 6' 4 1/2"
Late 2018, we claimed:
Allen Lazard: 6' 4 5/8"
But the 2019 offseason saw us add
Darrius Shepherd: 5'10 1/2" and
Malik Taylor: 6' 1 3/8"
And this offseason, while we did add
Devin Fucnhess: 6' 4 1/4"
We also added
Reggie Begelton: 6' 1 1/8" and
Darrell Stewart: 6' 0 1/2"
before adding
Travis Fulgham: 6' 2 3/8"
and allegedly in the process of adding
Malik Turner: 6' 2"
There were probably some camp bodies in there that I missed somewhere, but it's clearly a thing that we like guys that are at least 6'2" but not one we won't break especially for a slot receiver type like Stewart or Shepherd.

On the downside, here are some receivers that the Lions preferred over Travis:
Marvin Hall, 5'10" 190 pounds; 4th year in the league, 2 teams; recorded 19 catches for 470 yards across 3 seasons, with 1 TD per season; part-time K/P returner
Geramy Davis, 6'3" 217 pounds; 6th year in the league, 3 teams; recorded 5 catches for 59 yards in his career with 0 TDs
Victor Bolden, 5'8", 178 pounds; 3rd year in the league, 3 teams; 1 catch for 10 yards; was a rookie returner
Tom Kennedy, 5'10" 195 pounds; 2nd year in the league, was UDFA by Detroit last year, no stats.

Probably, but I'd estimate that there's probably 1 WR slot that isn't totally locked in yet, and any of these 4-5 camp bodies (Taylor, Turner, Shepherd, Stewart, Begelton) at the position could claim it with a strong camp.

Really wonder what Michael Clark would have become if he stuck it out.

Very few receivers that big make it based on their inability to separate. If they could they would have been drafted very high. Clark just didn’t have good enough hands or athleticism to make it in the league.TheGreenMan wrote: ↑11 Aug 2020 15:06Really wonder what Michael Clark would have become if he stuck it out.

He retired, which came as a surprise to everyone in the front office, because he was turning heads with his athletic showings in just the little time he was with the team. He had a 33-inch vertical at 6"6. He also ran a 4.53, Adams ran a 4.56 in the 40. Dude had a knack of grabbing balls left and right in practice.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑11 Aug 2020 15:09Very few receivers that big make it based on their inability to separate. Clark walked away on his own terms, not because he couldn't cut it.
