Oh carp. So much for the glory days of Bruce Roberts, Brent Musburger, Jimmy The Greek and Phylis George.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑08 May 2023 19:56Oh man. That’s annoying for me. But I’m sure fine for many people.
I don't know how good this is. I think it's a positive when announcers get to consistently call a team.
What is the point of the schedule release (besides the league generating hype and $$$)? I seriously don't get it. We know the home and away opponents months ago. The league can "flex" any game it wants for like the last 6 weeks.
Lots of nfl fans are absolute crack heads for the product. The nfl hypes a lot of stuff up because they know the crack heads will be looking for the next hit. This of course is smart because it keeps them in the news cycle, drives up demand, and has a positive effect on revenue, one must assume.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
I liked packers games being protected from Romo and I was really liking Greg Olsen. Unfortunate.

There really isn't that much hype.
It is a small thing that ESPN and NFLN cover because full time sports and league channels have nothing else to cover during a 24 hour content cycle.

Besides the games to be played outside the US, we now know the Eagles and Chiefs play Week 2. And the Hall of Fame game in Canton will be Jets vs. Browns.
International schedule released. Jaguars getting back-to-back weeks in England. If you're not a fan of England, like me, then that's a big ouch.
Can't help but notice most teams selected are from the AFC. Is that normal? Isn't it typically more of an even conference split?

Yep. It’s good for the party outside, that’s about it.
