Very strange seeing us have prime time games in 3 of the final 6 weeks given the uncertainty of expectations surrounding our season.

I wonder if it's sort of a "GB has big audience pull as a fallback, but the SNF games (2 of the 3) are potential flex spots anyway if someone else surprises" kind of deal.

Honestly pretty easy start, bye weeks and psuedo by weeks,

Starting 7-1 8-) and finished 11-6

Steelers, Chargers, Lions, Chiefs, Giants, 3 of them 5 on the road pretty hard stretch 9-14.

Then panthers and bears two of the last 3 to finish the year. Favorable if we need a strong finish to contend for playoffs.

Pretty sure I'm going to the Pittsburgh game. A few of my close friends here in VA are big Steelers fans and the November noon game suits our schedules. Can't wait to get to that venue and interact with another faithful fanbase!

I'm hoping the Packers open the season on the road in Chicago ............. just to get the rivalry started with the new generation of QBs battling it out in the Central / North / Black 'n Blue.
Prayer answered! Amazing. Go Packers.
Not the year to no-show Week 1. Winnable game, on the road, that really might kind of set the table for the rest of the season way more than any other year in memory.
I am hopeful that coaching might actually give us the bigger edge in Chicago. We have MLF and his crew fine-tuning the offense and special teams. (Who knows about the D?) We have lost six starters and brought in youthful players at key positions. But Chicago has started a renaissance on their roster. They might be good this year, but I doubt if it’ll be much better in week 1.

I’ll start looking for tickets to the game in Denver on October 22. I haven’t been to a game there since Favre threw the OT TD to Jennings.

Jets schedule looking brutal early on. I could see a denver and Russ Wilson situation unfolding

Just as long as it doesn't unfold so fast they pull Rodgers under 65% of the snaps, seems good

Strangely, to me, I think you are right.

Denver had a very solid defense when Russ stepped in. Russ also had some legitimate offensive weapons. His defense should’ve often given him a shorter field to work with. And then, his offensive weapons should have been able to capitalize on the short fields often. They were great on paper. They lacked execution on the field.

NY has a defense that was very good last year. And they have some promising offensive talent. In Rodger’s eyes, the D there should give him a short field more often than the average defense. And his weapons are good enough to combine with his own talent to have a high percentage of scoring drives. That is why I really think that Rodgers will have a good season with the Jets. The only problem, like Denver, is that it’s all good on paper. They still need to execute on the field. Their D has executed. The O has a lot to prove there. I just think this is a primed situation for Rodgers. He and his team simply need to exploit that situation to their best advantage. We will see whether they do or not.

I'll be interested to see how many opponents we get following their bye week. If memory serves, we always seem to get multiple games like that every year. That's a tough game no matter who the opponent is, especially if it's in their house.
Giants are the only team we get off their bye this year.

They ain’t pulling rodgers over a late one or early 2.

Rodgers equals buzz, and increased revenues

While I agree with the "buzz" sentiment, it wouldn't be a difference between a "late one or early 2". If the Jets season is lost, they're likely positioned for an early R1. That's significant. I'd guess they'd give strong consideration to sitting Rodgers over some soft-tissue injury nonsense to retain that high pick. I know I would.

No team's season is lost after 65% of the games. The only real way is if you are literally 1-10 or 2-9. We were 4-7 and then 4-8 and still thought we had a mathematical chance.

I am not worried about the Jets shutting Rodgers down to avoid a draft pick loss. An injury would need to occur and lead to missed starts before week 11 before it is a voluntary thing.

they wont sit Rodgers even if they are 1-15, on the face of it they brought in Rodgers to win a championship, in reality they brought in Rodgers to excite there fan base, put butts in seats, and to sell there brand, the winning a championship thing was a sell point, what fan doesn't hope or want to hear that?

I can't get over how Fans these days think it's cool to tank games, I can't even comprehend that kind of mentality, specially since the draft is such a crap shoot.

we have arguably the most fans in the league who would continue watching the games if we where down right pathetically terrible, imo we will always rank high with prime time games.

Yep! It's been going on for decades. It's both a nationwide and international phenomenon. I've met many Europeans at Lambeau. One Scot was happily tailgating with a bottle of high end scotch camoed in a brown paper bag. Goal was to polish it off between the hotel and Oneida gate via free tasting episodes with randomly selected Packers fans. This was the playoff game versus Seattle a few years ago..........a game the Packers won.

Looking forward to the home opener versus the Saints.

Agreed. We should really hope Rodgers doesn't get hurt before he has 65% of the snaps...

Be awesome to get out to a hot start.

Winning is contagious and would be a real quick way get some needed confidence all around.

Weak division, weak schedule, lions gunna lion.

lot of question marks this year obviously, but I’m definitely expecting to win the division this year.

I'm not expecting a division title this season but it is certainly within the realm of possibilities.

I definitely think they'll be competing for it. Whether they get there our not is going to depend on how well they play as a unit as well as Love as an individual. The QB position is just that impactful, like it or not.

you are dreaming up a problem that wont exist. The Jets would literally have to be about 0-7 for that to ever cross their mind. And even still, Rodgers wants stats, the fans want to see rodgers. they aint just sitting a healthy rodgers. thats a fantasy.
