PFF gave him an overall 48.3 grade last season. Ugh.
That said, I like what I hear in this recent article:

From the linked article:
Side note: can Gute add a clause to the contract allowing the Packers first dibs on any male children they produce? I bet that kid will be athletic AF...

I guess the upside is YoHoChecko was just commenting on how much he liked the assembled talent on the Texans roster...although, technically, Owens wasn't actually on the roster at the time. Whatev.According to Cody Benjamin from CBS Sports, Owens is the one impending free agent the Texans can’t afford to let go.
The Texans have been shuffling spare parts with all their cap space ever since Nick Caserio took over, so it’s no surprise they don’t even have premium pieces to retain. Owens, 27, is an intriguing low-risk, high-reward safety, however, after a fifth-year breakout as a full-time starter. His 125 tackles ranked second on a young but occasionally feisty defense.

The Packers have an insane number of safeties on the roster who are fast and athletic and probably useful on special teams, but might not be good at playing safety. I guess it only takes one to hit.

As their salary cap is virtually nothing left to spare, this is maybe the only way to hedge bets against inferior Safety play in 2023. More low-level starters that you can plug and play on a moment’s notice, then one or two high level starters. This is Guty doing what CAN be done, instead of just twiddling his thumbs.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑12 May 2023 21:56The Packers have an insane number of safeties on the roster who are fast and athletic and probably useful on special teams, but might not be good at playing safety. If Simone were tall enough, she could probably be a good LB. I have never seen a woman that was so muscular. She is a tank(ette).Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑12 May 2023 22:19According to Twitter the Packers signed his wife and she brought him along

I can think of one other, but I'll save that for The Podium. But let's just say this other person could play MIKE linebacker without any problems...Scott4Pack wrote: ↑13 May 2023 12:45I have never seen a woman that was so muscular. sorta like having 13 draft picks, ya just hope to strike pay dirt with one of emYoHoChecko wrote: ↑12 May 2023 21:56The Packers have an insane number of safeties on the roster who are fast and athletic and probably useful on special teams, but might not be good at playing safety. even with the decline we saw from Amos last season I was hoping we could bring him back on the cheap, obviously his asking price prohibited that, so at least we brought in Owens, often a change of scenery jump starts a player so why not give him a shot.
Amos looked so much slower last year, I blamed the scheme, obviously it was more then just that.

Owens recorded a 43-inch vertical at his pro day, which was 1½ inches higher than any player at the NFL Scouting Combine a month earlier. He clocked a 4.43 in the 40, with an 11-foot broad jump and 18 reps of 225 pounds in the bench.
She is an incredible gymnast.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑13 May 2023 12:45If Simone were tall enough, she could probably be a good LB. I have never seen a woman that was so muscular. Low risk, high potential. Could be another Rasul, could be only a marginal ST player and be cut.
These are exactly the type of signings you like to see during a rebuild year. I am very happy with the appraoch they are taking at safety for 2023. Maybe they hit on one and only have to focus on another in the 2024 offseason.
