Those are good numbers but his 3-cone was 7.0. He is from a small school Western Missouri and did not get an invite to the combine. But he has stuck around and started last season. Who knows?

Looks like he would have beaten anybody just drafted and he's got experience but is certainly not beat up being only a one year starter. It looks like a no risk shot at somebody who could be good.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑15 May 2023 06:05Those are good numbers but his 3-cone was 7.0. Yeah--Owens, Ford, Savage, and Johnson is nothing special but it is an NFL roster at Safety.
Wasn't sure we'd quite get there this year. We're not looking at MD Jennings and Jerron McMillian anymore.

3 cone isn't as important for safety as it is with a man cover corner, the top rated safety in this draft class had a 7.08 3 cone, length and burst are what ya look for in a safety, imo, so height, and the split times to me matter more.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑15 May 2023 06:05Those are good numbers but his 3-cone was 7.0. OTOH I remember a lot of people being enthused about Jennings/McMillian and noting how they must be really good because they were having quite the training camp battle. Turns out they weren't battling to see who was the best- they were battling to see who could suck the most.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑16 May 2023 09:49Yeah--Owens, Ford, Savage, and Johnson is nothing special but it is an NFL roster at Safety.

...and they both lost.
MD Jennings did have a great game clinching INT against Seattle in Week 3 2012 though.
