I pray that by then I get orders out of dog &%$@ Nebraska but if not this would be something I’d make the drive for.
Cancelled by the forum elites.
I mean.. WOW!
Mark Murphy sure wins some points for this! Made it happen even without the draw of AR.
I may have to start putting some money aside for a little trip...

WOW, finally this commish wants to explore Green Bay, and bring some recognition to the team and town that helped get this game going, shoulda had the draft here 10 years ago, good for the team, the town, and all the fans, that atrium should be rocking
Lack of hotel rooms only problem.
I will rent my house in Oshkosh, 45 minutes away only. Packers Huddle discount, $1500 per night.
My parents live less than a mile from Lambeau. I could probably talk them into $3000/night.

I've never really thought about attending the draft, but I would make the trek for this if I'm still living in WI.

It felt like it would never happen, but AMEN! Can’t wait to go!

I really hope they can pull it off but I have my concerns.
Already talking to my draft group (all packer fans) and everyone agrees that this could be bad. KC brought in over 300000 ppl. Nashville was over 600000. I hope I'm wrong but GB will struggle with those numbers
On the plus side. My brothers wife's fam lives less then a mile from the stadium, they already said the house is ours for the week haha
Very kind of you

Fantastic for the local economy. Terrible place for a draft.

Weather will be a bigger issue than hosting. Got like 2 years to prepare. The Vrbo market will be crazy, can pop up a bunch micro hotels yet, still in demand either way, other temporary accommodations will get set up.
Then also the whole town will probably shut down, locals will stay home, won’t be business as usual, whereas as big cities keep business as usual. Hope they bring in all kinds of trollies and busses and just run them for free all day from many designated parking areas. Uber drivers will flood in from all over.
Gunna be quite the event, can’t wait.

Packers-Huddle party weekend!!
I still do not fully understand concerns some people have. It's not ideal and you wouldn't be able to do this every weekend, but as a one-time event, if done right, I think it will go off without a hitch. Rooms and transportation, right? Shuttles running on the hour to/from Appleton and other surrounding communities. Partnership with Uber/Lyft to get additional drivers up there, it can be done.
Also, everyone assumes this will be like every other Draft. How about all of us with houses and cars? Turn this into a Home Draft advantage. Would love to see green and gold dominate the landscape of fans.

Late April is a coin flip. 40's and rainy would not be nice. 60's and sunny would be pretty lucky. Somewhere in between would be fine. Nothing can be done about rain and it has rained in other cities during The Draft. Would suck, but wear a poncho and party on.

I'm thinking about taking the family on a trip away from the area that weekend so we can AirBnB my house. I could potentially make a lot of money.
They will need daily shuttles from hotels from Madison to Green Bay and Milwaukee to Green Bay.
Which could work fine. If lodgings is $1000+ a night around GB, people wont go.

I hope it snows and makes this a real GB experience. Screw everyone that doesn't like it and won't come. It takes you an hour to move 6 feet in places like LA. A drive from Appleton or even Milwaukee isn't a big deal. You don't get awarded something like this without a plan and that plan being approved. The Packers, Green Bay, and the NFL know exactly what they are getting into and they are fine with it.
