But no SBs...

So, worthless.

Right?

Because of GB being all about SBs?

Green Bay is about TITLES, aka NFL Championships. There's been 2 since Vince left. Vince had 5 in the 1960s. Curly had 6.

1929, Curly Lambeau, 12-0-1 (1.000)
(League Standing)

1930, Curly Lambeau, 10-3-1 (.769)
(League Standing)

1931, Curly Lambeau, 12-2-0 (.857)
(League Standing)

1936, Curly Lambeau, 10-1-1 (.909)
Boston Redskins, 21-6 (New York)

1939, Curly Lambeau, 9-2-0 (.818)
New York Giants, 27-0 (Milwaukee)

1944, Curly Lambeau, 8-2-0 (.800)
New York Giants, 14-7 (New York)

That area grew VERY quickly afterward. All the residential houses around Lambeau were built in the 60s. Oneida St to the south grew very rapidly. The Brown County Arena (corner of Lombardi and Oneida) opened Nov 1958.

The greatest national treasure in the history of U.S. professional sports. I still marvel at the view when I get inside Lambeau Field and gaze at the field, particularly the south endzone (31 Wedge on 2) and the 60 rows of aluminum seats that surround the field. Looking forward to the new scoreboards. The sound system is fantastic as well. The home opener against the Saints will bring back memories of the end of the Glory Years.

Hubby and I took a ride over there on Sunday. It made me wonder what most of those folks who went to games that very first year would think if they could see how it looks today!

1964 Packers cards. Most Lombardi era Hall of Famers in one set (except for the 1961 Lake to Lake set which included Emlen Tunnell and Ray Nitschke).

So weird that in 1993, players were still being issued practice jerseys with the sleeve logo that was last used in 1987. Times have certainly changed.

Emlen Tunnell card is humorous. The football shaped logo and along with his pose, makes it look like he missed the catch badly.

Only guy the Giants let Vince take with him, when he got the job in Packerland.
