What do we really have in Doubs?

What does the QB have to do with a WR's ability to get off the line?RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 15:12That's because his QB at the time ___________ SUCKED!!lupedafiasco wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 11:23Unless Doubs improves his ability to beat press and get off the line better he’s a really subpar WR2 to decent WR3. come on now, it's a well established opinion that Bert Fav're was able to telekinetically move his receivers feet in a split second,
Hope I am wrong, but he seems like JAG to me. And I said the same thing about MVS. And I didn't say the same thing about Jennings, Jones, or Jordy.
Watson is our elite receiver, not Doubs.

I think Doubs is more than a JAG but will never be elite. He is a WR#2 and there are going to be 30 or so receivers in the NFL better than he can ever be. Those 30 or so are called WR#1.

QB can call and execute plays in a way that does not require the reciever to get off the line like Adams did.Captain_Ben wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 15:42What does the QB have to do with a WR's ability to get off the line?RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 15:12That's because his QB at the time ___________ SUCKED!!lupedafiasco wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 11:23Unless Doubs improves his ability to beat press and get off the line better he’s a really subpar WR2 to decent WR3. Cancelled by the forum elites.
I am a Doubs homer. He has a really nice skill-set for the position, a bit of an "it" factor, and he wears #87 which is the stud WR number in Green Bay.

And yes the QB change will be good for Doubs because he has a better connection with Love (was evident very early on last year) and will not need to run two playbooks in his head at once and get barked at by a snotty hipster for guessing wrong.

true, but it takes a QB with young legs to even hope thats successful, for all of Lafleurs time here we've had Rodgers on a clock, Lafleurs goal obviously was to have Rodgers get rid of the ball FASTER, to do that receivers have to get off the LOS quick, or that doesn't work.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 19:59QB can call and execute plays in a way that does not require the reciever to get off the line like Adams did.Captain_Ben wrote: ↑05 Jul 2023 15:42What does the QB have to do with a WR's ability to get off the line?

If Doubs can master the back-shoulder, sideline catches like Jordy did, oh, that’ll be special!
I still think that Jordy doesn’t get enough credit for being what he was. He was truly special. But he was also in a superb WR room for a long time. Definitely deserves Packer HOF.
