One thing about #10 is he doesn't have a good spiral. I never really paid attention to it, but a reporter commented on it last night. Does it matter? We will see.

LOVE the note about Nixon that he competes for every thing!
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
thats a real dig, so for some reporter to make it he must have some research to back it up, obviously every pass any QB makes wont be a tight spinner, but deep ball accuracy depends on not being a knuckle ball, and Love has shown that he does have deep ball accuracy, so I'am skeptical of a comment like that.
I think people will be impressed with Love, course I'am one of the optimistic guys here.
thanks to everyone for bringing TC stuff, much appreciated.
He looks exactly like Rodgers did 15 years ago.

Love's spirals are nicer than Peyton Manning's, so I'm going with "No, it doesn't matter."
Accuracy and decisions, which he needed to work on, are far more important.

Great, hope he looks like that when a defense is on the field too.

Honestly it's so hard to read training camp reports as if they're normal. We're so used to, like, knowing our QB is good so the adjustment period and the wind stuff and everything just didn't matter.
Now we don't know how good our QB is so every little thing feels like it matters--like it's an important piece of information from which we can discern some new piece of information.
The truth is, we won't know more until we know more. I love reading the updates and the lineups and the general vibe. But it actually doesn't mean more now than it has for the past 30 years. We just need information more so we care about it more

Question: Do NFL teams still administer a conditioning test prior to players participating in training camp?
I remember it being such a big deal back in the day - Albert Haynesworth still stands out in my memory - but nowadays you don't even hear anything about it. Is it because players come in so much better prepared and it's a non-issue or did the rules/CBA change where they're not even administered anymore?

We know it was a bad day for offenseYoHoChecko wrote: ↑26 Jul 2023 22:43Honestly it's so hard to read training camp reports as if they're normal. We're so used to, like, knowing our QB is good so the adjustment period and the wind stuff and everything just didn't matter.

It's weird that the forum has not commented on the qb going 7/14

Throwing a spiral helps when it's windy. This could be an issue on really windy days.

Many QBs who have never thrown a spiral in their life made it to the Super Bowl. Jeff George was probably the best spiral thrower of all-time. Nuff said.williewasgreat wrote: ↑27 Jul 2023 09:38Throwing a spiral helps when it's windy. This could be an issue on really windy days.
come on , you guys all know QB's don't get to play in this league if they don't throw spirals, yes some throw tighter ones, and every pass is more accurate because of the spinning of the ball, this stuff is common knowledge.packman114 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2023 09:55Many QBs who have never thrown a spiral in their life made it to the Super Bowl. Jeff George
I'll believe it when I see Love throwing knuckle balls, so far I havn't, I think the reporters comment was click bait.williewasgreat wrote: ↑27 Jul 2023 09:38Throwing a spiral helps when it's windy. This could be an issue on really windy days.

Yeah, Joe Kapp and Billy Kilmer were infamous for their wobbly passes.packman114 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2023 09:55Many QBs who have never thrown a spiral in their life made it to the Super Bowl. It's weird looking back with modern eyes to see Kilmer often started over Jurgenson, who threw beautiful spirals.
