Cody Chrest first one out of the locker room.
Dude this guy has been impressive actually. One positive of Gute constantly churning the bottom of the roster.
Someone has been watching the blogger.
I actually have been pretty bad at listening to Herman this week. My mornings have been busy. Did he mention it too?

I just noticed Chrest's name in tweets more often than I expected

Musgrave with a deep catch vs. AJJ.
Won with speed. Good separation. Luke Musgrave is just an unfair matchup in 1-on-1s.

offense as usual loses the first week of camp, and as usual wins the rest of camp, makes sense when ya consider the offense is still working on installments

Awesome seeing you BF!
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

"...on the offensive line, second-year guard Sean Rhyan has had an impressive few days of practice. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Ryan Wood, Rhyan has gone 8- 0 in his most recent one-on-one reps."

That's encouraging

I am encouraged by Rhyan doing well in that drill, but didn't every single rep come against Wooden?

Wooden seems very talented but I'd like to see Rhyan go up against other guys to be satisfied that it's not that he just blocks one specific guy or skill-set really well.

I wonder why Rhyan has only gone against one dude. I don't think I've seen it that extreme where the one on one is literally against the same guy 8 times in a row.

Another player who stood out on offense today was running back Tyler Goodson, a fan favorite from last summer.
The 2022 practice-squadder broke a 38-yard run at the end of practice, per Ryan Wood.

"Huge run by Tyler Goodson for a touchdown to follow it up. Explosive run with great speed. Young backs showing up. "

I've been hearing tweets about Goodson really stepping up in the pass pro game.

That is what we need to look for with Goodson. If he can't be relied upon in pass pro, he has no place on the Packers. So happy to hear that.

Year 2 Leap

"...defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt appears to be taking strides, according to Ryan Wood. Wyatt has consistently generated praise for his work in one-on-one drills, but coaches have stated that consistency, not flash, is what they’re hoping to see out of Wyatt this season. It’s worth mentioning here that while Wyatt is a starting 3-4 defensive end in the base defense, T.J. Slaton got the nod over Wyatt in two-lineman nickel looks opposite of nose tackle Kenny Clark on Tuesday. It’s uncertain if Wyatt or Slaton will get more snaps in 2023."

https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2023 ... a-zach-tom

"While Wyatt wasn't exactly puffing his chest out after the performance, his fellow defensive linemen did plenty of hooting and hollering. They could feel Wyatt coming this spring. Now, he's getting a chance to show his progress.
"He's way ahead of a year ago," said linemate T.J. Slaton of Wyatt said. "I feel like his hands are better. His get off is way faster and I feel like the game has really slowed down for him. He's seeing things almost in slow motion."

Adds an interesting layer to the Packers 2023 offense

"Love fools everyone on a QB Keeper RPO, picks up 10+ to the left.
Awesome blocking by Tyler Davis downfield. Gets praise from MLF after the play. Nice pickup."

"94 Karl Brooks with another dominant rep inside. He’s really impressive."

Brooks (6-3, 296) is built more like an interior player but lined up all across the defensive front in the MAC as he racked up 27½ career sacks, including 10 among 69 total pressures (according to Pro Football Focus) last season.

Brooks and Wooden with immediate pressure for a would be sack on Etling. Those two have really made an impression.
Karl Brooks in the backfield again. That’s at least 3 times today.

better 3 down ILB's, as long as the safety's play and cover well, it's time for more 30 front, and more 4i and 5 tech, I'am excited for our pass rush this season, imo poor rush consistency after Gary was hurt exposed anything remotely suspect on defense last year, and terminology issues led to the departure of Jerry Gray, someone had to get fired, lets see if it was the right defensive coach.

I'm definitely rooting for Chrest to at least make the practice squad. It's rare to have an owner of the team competing for a roster spot :)

If I remember correctly the offense didn't win a lot of practices in camp last season either.

If he can’t break the 3rd round curse, I think we’re effed for a while.
