I'm definitely rooting for Chrest to at least make the practice squad. It's rare to have an owner of the team competing for a roster spot

offense as usual loses the first week of camp, and as usual wins the rest of camp, makes sense when ya consider the offense is still working on installments

If I remember correctly the offense didn't win a lot of practices in camp last season either.

I think it's like this for most teams, the first week or so of camp the offenses struggle because there using so many different formations and different players in them, takes more time for offenses to build cohesion as a result. just my opinion though.

Jonathan Ford got some kudos from MLF this week. He's fighting to earn a spot on the 53, backing up TJ Slaton on the nose
IF the Packers keep 6 DL, he'll get the nod.

Packers snagged him late 7th round 2022 because they knew he wouldn't pick GB as a UDFA. Coach Montgomery has had him for a year, time for the 2nd year leap.

Which position group looks the best ?

"The position group that has looked the best are the cornerbacks. Jaire Alexander and Rasul Douglas are both playing at really high levels right now. The ball either isn’t coming their way or they are often all over it for the pass breakup. Keisean Nixon looks very comfortable in the slot, and even the second-team cornerbacks, Carrington Valentine and Corey Ballentine, have had pass breakup and interception opportunities. Add Stokes back into the mix, and the overall talent and depth of this unit is impressive."

Packers didn't bring back Marcedes Lewis, despite him being cheap & available- I guess the youngsters will have to grow up fast when it comes to blocking NFL-level defenders. Musgrave looks like a solid pass catcher already

Like he did earlier in the week, in a pair of three-kick sessions, Carlson missed the first field goal before making the next two, and both misses were wide right.

He missed from 41 before making kicks from 43 and 45. Later, he missed from 47 before two good ones from 49 and 54. On the miss from 47, the snap was poor and holder Pat O'Donnell did very well just to get the ball placed for the kick.

"It's really just getting my hips through a little bit better," Carlson said of his misses to the right, which have come from the left hash. "In a game it's a one shot kill, so it's something I need to revisit, look at the technique. Really it's ball-striking and making sure I'm trusting my line. But I felt in control today, felt good about the hits I was making."

He was there like 8 years so he racked up points. His accuracy was unreliable and wasn't impressed by his KO.

Carlson was 8-of-9 on field goal attempts during Family Night with the lone miss coming on a bad snap. It seems he excels on the big stage instead of Nitschke Field
