don't mean to always spout negative on Morley's PFF grades, while most grades seem pretty close to eye appeal he always has one or two that don't, in this case it's with Aaron Jones, he should be shamed right out of the building with that low grade.

Morley doesn't give out the grades. He subscribes to PFF and reports them.

Love to see it
Slay got a lock of flack in the Love-hate crossfire for tweeting that he looked good against the Eagles and that they weren't in prevent but were still playing him hard.

To be fair. He only played on 3rd downs. So his pressure rate should be skewed but still pretty darned incredible.
This was my favorite game in quite a while. On the same tier as the game Aaron burned Atlanta to the ground. Will always be a game that stands out in memory.
Jordan's first game as a starter and they go and crush the Bears convincingly, gets his backup some snaps. The devastation in Chicago is truly awe-inspiring, its like the rash of firings the '10 team left in its wake. I'm not sure Aaron ever got them this bad (tho tbf he prevented them from getting any hope, they actually had some real genuine hope built up this offseason; Jordan rubbed their nose in it).
Big picture on Jordan's play, it becoming pretty safe to say decision making is a clear strength of his. The ball goes to the right guy pretty much always.
This DL, had high hopes for them last year that they didn't live up to, but man oh man they look really legit. Like lead the league in sacks legit. Swap Fields for Cousins and he'd have been sacked 20 times. Wyatt showed up. LVN showed why he was a 1st rounder. Gary is scary.
More than anything, this team really looks like they enjoy playing together. Granted, who doesn't love a good Bears beatdown, but its not just today, this group has a lot of fun out there, and that always worked out pretty good for ol #4.

I thought the same watching Quay. Maybe not bad, but not good. I even yelled at the tv once and said quit walking Walker! Wasn't playing fast, especially early. But also seemed he was play spy a good deal. Eyes fixed on Fields. So might have just been doing what he was asked.
Anyone heard anything about him? Was it a concussion? Neck?

OK, your right, then my angst is with PFF, point is Jones PFF grade doesn't seem consistent with the play we all saw on the field, he had over 40 yrds after first contact in another 120yrd game, I'am sure this deduction is a result of the dropped speed ball he wasn't ready for, that seemed a tough catch for anyone, his plus play didn't deserve that harsh evaluation is my complaint.

Graphics like this come off as misleading, or even corrupted, when the top rated teams and players (by their metrics, whatever they are and however they're weighted) are teams that scored 17 and 16 points respectively.
Hell, this chart has the Bears offense rated higher than the Packers.
Let's just say I don't put a lot of stock into whatever this graphic is showing.
the smoke wont clear in Chicago till wednesday
I always like the PFF pressure grades, simply cause I like there higher count over PFR who I think had us at 26, both seem pretty consistent though week to week
a few years back I remember PFF gave Z I think 90 for the season, while PFR had him I think at 75 or so.
I took the PFR 26 times 17 = 442, I havn't looked but I'am thinking thats very good

Ya, that top graphic wasn't what I was trying to bring. Not sure that one is relevant.APB wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023 15:02
