Reading through the 2022 NFL Cheesecurds thread, most on this forum were absolutely relieved we didn't execute that trade.
At the time it was absolutely seen as an overspend.
Was definitely against Claypool, but I was excited about maybe adding DJ Moore. Gameday its always been a huge enhancement, the convo better than the Aikman/Buck blathering; it sees things you miss (injuries, personnel shifts, etc...)
Between so many quitting and the firehose of nonsense, yesterday it wasn't really useable. Do any of y'all know of a good alternative for live gameday chat? Maybe a good discord group? Threads may be viable for news, but there is no point in opening it during a game even following a lot of packers related stuff.
At this point, there isn't a player on this roster that I would not at least entertain an offer for. The more high round picks that we have, the sooner this ship is going to get back on the right track. Assuming that our GM doesn't miss on a majority of those picks.

I’d take a 2 for Watson. It would be a very high two. Watson has been injury prone and has a limited route tree. I’m also fine with letting him develop, but ya, I’d take a high 2.

Agree everyone has a price. But he has a ton of value to us. Got him dirt cheap for 2 1/2 years plus franchise control. We got a young developing QB who has some report with him. But that price is probably like two firsts for me. Doubting anyone would ever even consider that, but i don’t see a reason to trade him for any less.

Claypool was actually a pretty decent receiver his first two seasons in Pittsburgh. At that point I wouldn't have considered a second rounder to be too steep of a price to acquire him.

True, but they don't have to trade for Watson to achieve that. They can just select Marvin Harrison Jr. in next year's draft.
Especially as it's still a huge question mark if Watson will ever develop into an elite WR.
I believe Chicago owns their R1 pick next year. The "can't miss" WRs will be long gone by the time pick 33 is called.
.Bears, Eagles, Cardinals, Panthers, Giants, Falcons, Bills, Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, and Colts I could all see interested, lol.
first thought that entered my mind, why would a winless team give up a high pick when they'll have a chance to draft a higher valued rookie next draft.
almost anything besides a first and a 3rd would be a insult to us, to Guty, Watson showed enough last year to warrant slot value to me, and every thing he doesn't do well is teachable, that he was considered raw is why he was available at slot 34, he was considered not as ready as those who went earlier.
if healthy all last season Watson is a 1200 yard plus receiver.

safe to say Carolina will pick shortly after the Minny's of the Midway
so there should be a tier one receiver available to them.
