2020 Training Camp
Moderators: NCF, salmar80, BF004, APB, Packfntk
Z Smith and J. Alexander return to practice today.
Jon Runyan is also practicing today. Apparrently he left yesterday's practice early.
Rick Wagner is still out.
Looks like Montravious Adams is still out and Raven Greene is also not out there.

Oh, is practice just starting? I sorta forgot about it and figured I'd missed it
No it's been over for a while.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020 12:49Oh, is practice just starting? I sorta forgot about it and figured I'd missed it
Just trying to catch up now. Non padded practice.
The only lineman who is undefeated this camp on 1 on 1's is Lane Taylor.

Garvin is working out with a different position group than you might expect. But I can’t say which one
And that's literally all the Packers football news for the day.
biggest stories was a "helicopter overhead the practice field" And discussion regarding yet another police shooting a citzen in Kenosha. I literally know nothing else on Kenosha so I will not comment further on that. Only that it was part of the Press Conference for Rodgers and MLF.

Said it earlier this year, don't sleep on him bring RG.

I wouldn't be mad if he does win it. Then we have an expensive swing tackle for a year in Billy Turner and let him go in the offseason.
JoJax turning things around would not only make our 2018 draft more palatable, but puts less pressure on us to bring back King.

Billy Turner doesnt even know why he was paid so much. I guarantee this guy was getting deals between 2-3 million a year until the Packers called him.
In the history of Packers free agency this is their worst deal IMO.

That can only mean DL or ILB. I would put money on ILB because body types but DL is thin. Couldnt be TE right?

He's been doing a really nice job in camp thus far from scattered reports, so it couldn't be a switch to offense. I'd guess it's DL given the way we've used our edge guys and like you said, the depth. I wouldn't think of it as a permanent change or anything at this point, wherever it is, as much as just teaching him some other techniques and increasing versatility. But I am intrigued.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020 19:32That can only mean DL or ILB. I would put money on ILB because body types but DL is thin. Couldnt be TE right?
Or with the coverage group. I think it's been pretty well stated how they want that 4th OLB to be a Fackrell type who is decent in coverage.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020 19:41He's been doing a really nice job in camp thus far from scattered reports, so it couldn't be a switch to offense. Pettine mentioned Garvin out of the blue a lot in his presser. I wonder if they are trying to see if he can be good in coverage as a Facrkrell replacement.

That's a good point, though I'm not sure why that would require a different position group, given that Fackrell (and Preston) did a ton of that from the edge, but could be an ILB group to just get him in space more and work on the reads. A 265 pound dude who runs a 4.8, though, wouldn't be my top choicego pak go wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020 20:06Or with the coverage group.
