I was against it at first but it’s so boring and ugly to watch and it happens so frequently.
I would say the solution would be to make how they line up the two on the hip of the QB an illegal formation but I could just see them doing something similar like a wish bone or something and just getting more push on the QB with a running start.
I’m not sure what the true solution would be here or if they even try and do anything at all.

Make it so you can't push QB from behind on a sneak. That was the rule in the Ice Bowl and I think only got chargedrelatively recently. That is why Chuck Mercein raised his hands - it was not signaling "touchdown", it was showing the refs he wasn't pushing Starr (he couldn't stop because of the ice).lupedafiasco wrote: ↑22 Oct 2023 22:57I’m not sure what the true solution would be here or if they even try and do anything at all.

Every rule in the book favors the offense, from OLine being able to grab DL to unfettered routes WR's are able to run and the way you can hit a QB or ball carrier that change every year.
All these guys think this is mano y mano football and I laugh. It's needs to be done away with. Even last night, I saw one, Hurts was stopped almost immediately, there was no "push" from the Oline, they were stoned. Then 3 guys behind him that were pushing were able to carry him over the the line. It's &%$@. It's anything but mano y mano, it's mano y 5 mano's LOL

I think the fact that multiple teams are trying to copy it and aren’t doing doing it well makes me think it’s just fine. It’s just Kelce is better than all other centers.
Be like telling RBs they can’t dive over the line like Marcus Allen or the you can’t kick field goals over 60 yards because of Justin Tucker. But some players are just more special than others.

Yeah, I'm not necessarily against it either. I more admire them for mastering it. Sure, having Kelce under center is great but having a QB who squats upwards of 600+ lbs is also significant. These guys have unique skills/talents and they're taking advantage of them. Good for them.BF004 wrote: ↑23 Oct 2023 06:51I think the fact that multiple teams are trying to copy it and aren’t doing doing it well makes me think it’s just fine. Vikings giving the niners a run for their money. I guess they don't care they don't have one of the best offensive weapons in the league in Justin Jefferson because of injury going. Their rookie WR making plays all over the EFFing place. Just saying. OH yea, IM pretty sure the niners are still a tiny bit better than the broncos.
Compare how the Vikings come out playing and the Packers. How the Packers are favored by 1 (the last spread I saw) I will never know. WTF

We are going to get dominated like a 50 shades of grey scene.MY_TAKE wrote: ↑23 Oct 2023 20:49Vikings giving the niners a run for their money. I honestly don't know if I would prefer a 30 point blowout or another 1 score loss? Blowout could be a morale and thus season wrecker, or it could be a wake up call and result in a few worthless wins and picking 10th instead of 2nd or 3rd. Another close loss won't result in any changes in scheme, personnel, etc, so the chances of keeping losing and just going through the motions are high.

Win or lose, this team needs to start figuring some things out. They've regressed, pretty much all of them but Dillon, Gary, Quay and Rasul. They looked like the B team in the preseason last week and that was against the league's worst.
So i don't care about a W or an L, just make some improvement. Somewhere on this team. Block better, run better routes, anticipate routes better, run the ball better, get stops when you need them better, something, just do it better than you have been.

I don't consider the Lions to be a Super Bowl contender. There's no doubt they are a far superior team compared to the Packers though.BF004 wrote: ↑22 Oct 2023 14:19They don’t though. At least not that bad of games.
A trait of Super Bowl winning teams is consistency, not having too low of lows. When you gotta put together 12-16 quarters of your best football, you can’t have lapses like that, even for a quarter.
The 10-6 team that squeezed into the playoffs and won a Super Bowl in GB was never down more than 7 points the entire season.
good call, it was illegal to do it back then, should be illegal now.wallyuwl wrote: ↑22 Oct 2023 23:02Make it so you can't push QB from behind on a sneak. the league discussed it last year, and tabled it.
