I don't like Collinsworth as an announcer anyway, but for him and other NBC talking heads to go on about the PI on the Hail Mary is ludicrous. There is always pushing, shoving and grabbing on a Hail Mary pass. This one was less of an issue than most. I have never seen such discussion ever on such a play. Is it because they can't stand to see KC lose? Collinsworth is a whiny little !@#$ ant and needs to be relieved of his job.
Yeah, gained respect from me also.
I do know if I were a Chiefs' fan, I woulda been furious about the MVS non-pass interference, but not the Hail Mary. The officials lost their grip of the game in the end, but luckily didn't break the tradition of Hail Mary being a play with it's own rules.
Yeah it was really awkward how much attention got on the non-flags in a game the Packers dominated and won by 8 points.
It was a shame that NBC took away from the Packers win as much as they did.

The fact our first 3-game winning streak was against the Chargers, at Lions, Chiefs stretch is absolutely incredible.
I am so happy in my Packer fanhood right now.

who isn't, do you hear of anyone here not happy to be a Packer fan? you say that as though your in exclusive company
Not the take I got from his post at all. He's a fan expressing his joy with the Packer product. It doesn't have to be anything more than that.
Quit looking for a fight.
I guess it's normal for game announcers to side with the fav team, but these last 2 games we get no respect from the color analyst, both Greg Olson with the Lions game and now with Collinsworth we get two obviously biased reporters, that crap with the Hale Merry PI talk was so strange, and over board garbage, it's bad enough the officials are starting to decide the outcome of games, now the announcers are doing it as wellwilliewasgreat wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023 04:40I don't like Collinsworth as an announcer anyway, but for him and other NBC talking heads to go on about the PI on the Hail Mary is ludicrous. Well if you really need to know. My personal life kinda sucks right now.
My father-in-law passed away suddenly right ahead of Thanksgiving due to a cardiac event and left this earth far too early. We were incredibly close and this is absolutely tearing my wife apart. My grandparents have been in the ER, Intensive Care, Nursing homes, etc. a lot the last 120 days and are on death's door. I had to take my mom to the ER last week because of all the stress and suspicision of a heart attack and there are concerns of my unborn child that are giving us a lot of anxiety - this child also has cost us $100k's because we are having fertility issues and that isn't a problem that can be solved easily.
So personally I am not very happy (but yet also amazingly bless in the long-term). But my Packer fanhood side of my life is very happy and this stretch has been theraputic for me.

I was at the game. My takeaway is there were 4 contraversial calls. 2 for GB and 2 for KC.williewasgreat wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023 04:40I don't like Collinsworth as an announcer anyway, but for him and other NBC talking heads to go on about the PI on the Hail Mary is ludicrous. Therefore I fully concur that these color announcers are unnecessarily biased with their irresponsible comments. Romo included. Where's the next Madden?
And now .... onto the Playoffs!

Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Yes, those 2 clowns calling the game on NBC were as bad as the refs. Their crying about it made it seem worse than it was. And it wasn't like the TD KC was trying to score was going to win them the game. They had to get the TD and the 2 point conversion to tie. A guy on the NFL Network's morning show talked about how everyone is pissing and moaning about those calls in the last moments of the game and ignoring how Love outplayed Mahomes last night.
Oh geez, what a time for you and your family. I know exactly how you feel. Back in 2021 we lost 4 family members in the span of 7 months. My hubby lost both his parents on the same day! No fun at all. My sympathies.go pak go wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023 11:16Well if you really need to know. My personal life kinda sucks right now.

Yes. As a Packer fan it is disappointing that the NON call grabs the headlines. Hopefully the astute football fan will recognize the Packers completely out played KC. The announcers had to talk about the call some, but they could have mentioned a little bit more about the bogus call on Mahomes too. Oh well, in the end we know what happened.Pugger wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023 15:10Yes, those 2 clowns calling the game on NBC were as bad as the refs. Their crying about it made it seem worse than it was. In Finland, there's a concept of "Sisu". It means resilience of spirit in hard times, fortitude of heart against insurmountable odds. When everything gets thrown against you, you dig your heels in, gather your strength, smirk at fate, and go out to face it like a badass. Pretty much Die Hard, tho it can take many forms. I hope I can summon some of that for you, tho I think you've already got it, even if you don't know it.
Thank you. And my intention was not to gloat or be a jerk to yoop but he questioned my "Packer fanhood" comment so I felt I needed to expand what I meant by that.salmar80 wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023 16:12Wow. Sorry to hear of all the health issues in your family GPG, and I apologize for the sarcastic reply.go pak go wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023 11:16Well if you really need to know. My personal life kinda sucks right now.

Stuff like this doesn’t get a lot of attention when it comes to the stat sheet but, by god, it’s a heck of a football play.
