It's part of the game. Both the good and the bad. Keep it in the game.

Meh. If the league wants to crack down on celebrations again, that doesn't bother me a bit

It'd take too long, but I'd be more on board with the "look at me" stuff if they balanced it with a Walk of Shame or some such when they drop a pass hitting them between the numbers or bouncing off a ballcarrier instead of tackling him or being a turnstile on the OL or...

I doubt anyone here took Rodgers seriously with a comeback this season, but it sure inspired Jets players and Jets fans to have a no quit player like him, when was the last time they had a never giver upper?
besides what else do those fans have to talk about, or the players to be inspired about?

ya well it's 5 weeks since he said that, obviously the situation has deteriorated a lot since then, whatever, it doesn't matter if it was false hope, that he did that in hope the fans would look kinder on the owner for his effort to bring in a better player is not lost on me, nor his effort to play again sooner then expected, that is exactly the attitude I'd want from a Packer player.

First week back after an extended layoff is often a challenge - and he hasn't been on the field since end of October.
Rashan Gary and Preston Smith sincerely hope Taylor's ribs are all healed up. 8-)

Was gunna say, love the idea of them splitting reps all week between a bad and an unhealthy average at best QB, not sure who’s gunna play.

Either one of them could use 100% of the reps.

Did anyone catch on the SNF broadcast that Patrick Mahomes is 11-3 in the postseason (including Super Bowls) and has NEVER played a playoff game on the road? I think this is the year that changes. Quite the streak, though.

Mahomes is a truly great/elite QB, but now that KC is paying him like one, suddenly he and his team have become more beatable. Those offenses with Tyreek Hill were fun while they lasted.

oh for goodness sakes :thwap: , the cost of QB is only relative at the beginning of there contracts, depending on contract structure, sure if ya front load the deal it can cripple a team, but thats not usually how these contract are structured, your using what our GM did to retain Rodgers as the model of normality

if ya don't have a franchise type QB your chances at success in this league dwindle to the point of a ozzing as s boil :rotf: cause your offense spends most of the game on the bench

He's actually still in the window to have a competitive team. Your first 3 years on a deal can be pretty cap friendly. But the Chiefs will start finding the struggles next year. Especially if a team like LAC can utilize their young QB and young roster to overtake them.

You can play the cap game for a while. But eventually it will catch up with you.

That's literally what the Chiefs did. You just aren't seeing it yet. You are still seeing the honeymoon period of the contract.

sounds like thats what we'll be paying Love after may 1st, QB's contracts seem to average now to be 13 to 17% of total cap, depending how the contract is structured :idn:

as cap numbers increase so does the annual pay fro that QB

agree, it takes a big jump next year, then levels off again, thing is he is far below top pay at the position now and still is arguable the best in the game, I agree with Andrew Brandt in that this is just the cost of having a great franchise QB. :idn:
