Yes, we can't let the D off the hook. The Gmen's offense is one of the worst in the league and we made them look like world beaters. Why is it when we go up against this team that we often look like crap over the years??BF004 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2023 23:09Yah, obviously it was bad today. Questions I can’t answer are why? Footwork, miscommunication, just gaffes, hand get injured, WRs running bad routes? All? Some? More some than others?lupedafiasco wrote: ↑11 Dec 2023 22:57Considering you edited, we do not have time to be wrong. We have 4 games left on the season. We need to be sure Love is the guy now. What I saw tonight? Hell no. Hell $%@# no. The accuracy was bad. The wobblers down field were really bad. You just don’t see top 10 caliber QBs throwing ducks like that.
I think most fans will consider a few drops by Love. I thought lost of the night he made things significantly harder.
Just needs to play out, been a lot of great and a lot of bad. Can we make this work? I simply don’t know. You were more confident than I was.. checks watch.. 4 hours ago.
If you are so unbelievably quick to write off a qb after 13 games, pretty baffled how you can be so content with a defense giving up over 200 yards rushing… again, 6th time this year? In 13 games? And today to literally the worst offense in football, and they should have gotten 30-34 easy.
Yeah, we don’t have time to be wrong on that either. We have been wrong for too long and it’s contributed to us not winning super bowls.

Mahomes wasn't great yesterday either.APB wrote: ↑11 Dec 2023 23:12Don’t disagree with you there. I’m just not willing to completely forget what he did the past month because he had a bad couple of bad quarters of play tonight.lupedafiasco wrote: This was a game Love should have carried.
By the way, you could say the same for Mahomes last week.
I wonder if love playing in rodgers home stadium and wondering if he was in the building affected his play
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
He missed the 2 best offensive players, anyone that doesn’t see that as a huge problem Doesn’t watch todays parity NFL. Love didn’t have a good game. Either did the OL, play caller, or the Wr group or the ST, or the defense.Drj820 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2023 23:10Love was the worst I’ve ever seen him for 3 quarters. He was so bad I’m just gonna burn the tape and chalk this one up as an outlier.
Maybe he missed Jones and Watson. Maybe Lafleur didn’t prepare him for the game. Maybe he had the flu. Maybe the New York lights were too bright. Maybe an actual good DC (wink martendale) scrambled his vision. Whatever it was, i don’t care.
I’m not holding this against him unless I see it again.
But ya Love should have carried the team if he was any good…ffs
This game was a combination of screw ups.
The defense allowed way too much easy production.
Love had terrible third passes early in the game on otherwise promising drives
MLF kept calling dumb trick plays that put us behind the sticks
Nixon fumbled. Recovered the fumble and then tried to run with the recovery
Joran Love made the dumbest running decision I have seen in a while and then fumbles it
Carlson...everyone knew he was missing that kick
The pass rushers got owned by the worst in the league after owning the best in the league
So many fingers to point blame to.
I will say the positives include:
1. Tucker Kraft - holy crap we have a 3rd round pick
2. AJ Dilln - he cuts. He bulldozes (except once). He is playin well
3. Patrick Taylor - until he gets close to out of bounds
4. Malik Heath's redemption catch was incredible

This doesn't absolve anyone else, ST's were poor, OL sucked, defense made the poor look effin' rich again, but Love most certainly played his part and if he played his part the right way, we still should have won.JKB wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023 05:53

he made almost every play more difficult last night. Either it was so bad it couldn't be made or he took an easy play and made it hard more than a handful of times. He didn't have to carry them, just put the ball in a better spot and be more careful with it and as poor as we were playing, we still beat this bad Giants team if he does.
That's not carrying them, that's just doing your job.
special teams = total collapse, Nixon all of a sudden develops Patrick Taylor IQ, just recover your fumble for god sakes.
Patrick Taylor= not for long if ya keep acting like $%&#, play smart.
Love = reverts right back to poor tech, poor decision making, inaccurate passes, and could not deal with pressure, which was in his face most of the night
Barry = same ol prevent defense, but his troops did him no favors, same missed tackles, over pursuit, and slow to react secondary, have we ever actually practiced containing a scrambling QB?
Lafleur = terrible game plan, end around with Reed on 2pt conversion was so obvious after he used it a half doz times, I didn't see many schemed open receivers last night unless ya count the ones short of first down yardage or tosses behind the los.
we where beat at all 3 phases last night, hopefully it's a wake up call.

Sounds like we have a lot of injuries to contend with:
1. Dontavyon Wicks said "his ankle is F'd" in the locker room last night. Thought is high ankle sprain. He is a foot guy (like Adams) and this could be it for his season.
2. Jayden Reed is in concussion protocol
So we will likely go into the Bucs game with Watson, Musgrave, Wicks, Reed OUT.

I"m gonna say it bluntly.
We lost to a bad football team who also played a really bad brand of football.
Our two Monday Night Games this year have been horrendous. Both losses to terrible football teams who played terrible (except their left defensive edge dominated for both teams)

Last night in Miami Tyreek Hill suffered an ankle injury and their offense went into hibernation and they lost to TN at home. I'm not saying Watson is Hill but losing that threat of speed can effect a passing attack.JKB wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023 05:53He missed the 2 best offensive players, anyone that doesn’t see that as a huge problem Doesn’t watch todays parity NFL. But I don't care who you play - when you turn the ball over 3 times your chances of winning a pretty damn low.
