I wasn't real confident about last week. Dallas had been so good at home. I am confident about this week. The rainy and windy weather will give Purdy problems (not a great arm, small hands). SF skill players and rushers rely more on quick feet and leverage, which a wet field neutralizes a bit. Also, I have heard a lot of talk from SF coaches/players implying Love is a system QB. They are in for a big surprise. There is also that most SF starters have not played in 3 weeks.

Wait a doggone second. If anyone wants to call Love a "System QB" that's well and fine. But they shouldn't forget that Purdy is the epitome of a "system QB." His best skill is probably his decision making, not arm strength, quickness, or other physical skills. He runs their system to almost perfection (at least on the majority of days).

Honestly that comment was sort of taken out of context and skewed to mean something it didn't.

It was, by many interpretations, more of a dig against Rodgers for NOT playing within the structure and taking what was there. The comment was that they've played Rodgers who plays outside the system and now they're playing Love who plays within the system; just pointing out that they present different challenges. It wasn't a knock on Love.

Fans need to stop manufacturing slights like we're Michael Jordan out there. It's silly.

minus fast, quick, and constant pressure on Purdy and we lose this game, so how Purdy does against a blitz means nothing to me, if we can't rattle and get to him with 4 rushers then Barry better bring 5, design some stunts, blitz, jmo.

agree, I think there defense is to good to play catch up ball against, ours, not so much, lets hope we never have to find that out, I think offensively we can go toe to toe, score for score with the Niners, our defense is what I worry about, the situation that I favor the most is when the other team ( Niners) has to play catchup with us, I like that a lot

I was at that divisional playoff game against the Giants. McCarthy coaching the Cowboys and the end result last week reminded me of the ending to that season.

I think this game is all about controlling the clock. We'll see lots of runs & short passes. Move the chains, keep the clock running and leave the 9ers offense cooling off on the sideline.

SF is more talented pound-for-pound, Shanahan has LaFleur‘s number, home field adv. and our inexperienced young players do the rest to favor them. But we have the benefit of the unexperienced (yes, that is not only a disadvantage) youth that is on a roll and - bonus - knows that they already overachieved, so no pressure at all. IF we have a good start, IF we can run (to take pressure off Love) things could happen. We need to play pedal to the metal though, Barry needs clothes peg on his nipples and call an aggressive defense, LaFleur needs to play deep playbook and Carlsen needs to watch some porn in advance to grow some swagger.

Let‘s try hard and see what happens.

I agree, don't give any receivers a free route, bang them right at the LOS, give our pass rushers that needed split second to rattle Purdy, I think this needs to be a statement game for Guys like Gary and Wyatt, Clark, Brooks, LVN too, Bounce Purdy around, Stunt Quay right in his grill, imo he'll throw some gift pics, come on boys make it happen
