So if MacDonald gets a job, guessing Orr or Wilson would be more willing to stay in Baltimore, that might leave us with the sloppy seconds there.
Did Weaver already get another job? Word is he's the favorite to be next in line in Baltimore, not Wilson or Orr. Also if MacDonald gets a job, he'll need a DC and staff, so one of these guys will be a favorite for that role, as well.
Suppose we wouldn’t know if MacDonald would give play calling duties to his DC till we know.

Here's some film of prospective DC Dennard Wilson breaking down film when he was with the eagles
He's currently on the Ravens staff

Starts at the 2:15 mark

Yeah. Wilson has really glowing remarks from everyone he has worked with. Also notable that he coached the #1 passing defense two years in a row (and they were different franchises)

Seems like his players just absolutely love him.

I am all the way in on hiring Dennard Wilson. At this point I am just preparing for the inevitable crushing of my dreams. Thankfully we have a few other candidates on the list that also look pretty appealing.

But yeah, Wilson is the top choice in my eyes by far. And I would wonder if maybe we could make it a twofer: hire Wilson, and offer Orr a promotion within Wilson's regime (e.g. ILB coach + run-game coordinator). And when Wilson gets HC offers, you have a potential successor.

I have made the big mistake of falling in love with this idea, but it's too late for me now.

I wouldn't allow either to leave the building, Denard as DC, Orr as his special assistant and lbers coach :aok: thanks

I new Wicks was a baller after a couple pre draft videos, I know those are high lights of his best stuff, so what, that stuff is what we see on game day, remarkable, as a rookie to be the best separator in the league, and some here thought the lowly Touri was gonna take this guys snaps, no way, I think I'am do some atti boys, nice to know this ol man still can spot the real slim shady

Dennard is my guy at this point between everyone we have interviewed. Hes led the top two passing defenses the last two seasons for different teams and has done extremely well developing talent at the DB position, specifically S.
Cancelled by the forum elites.

I mean everyone wants them. They are the hottest candidates in the league and they know it. It's not about the Packers wanting them. I am sure they do. It's more about does Wilson want to be in Green Bay and does their culture align with each other.

I think the GB DC should be a coveted job. Young and ascending team. Stability at the QB and coaching position.

The downside is Green Bay is where DC's go to fail. So the candiate will need to evaluate if he thinks he turn that stat around.

After the erroneous leaks about Parker the Packers have done a good job about keeping everything under wraps now.

Don't even hear when an interview has actually happened, only that they have requested to interview these guys

DC come to die in GB? ehhhhh, everyone knows why defense struggle in GB, or should, 1. is talent, 2 is the conservative play style incorporated the last 12 or so years :idn:

I think the weather and smaller city have a lot to do with the reluctance for coaching prospects to want to come here, smaller town many miles from bigger town, and tough to play conditions at Lambeau, family conditions are important considerations, would be for me anyway.

the conservative part does not seem like a trait of Lafleur, obviously all coaches want to be mistake free, all coaches hope to cut down on big plays, however, what cause Barry to go from passive to aggressive the last 6 weeks?

I want to take you back to 2020 PO loss, when we used single high and King was roasted for a TD, Under blogger  Butkowski said, believe it or not, that Lafleur was the person who demanded single high in that situation, high gamble, very risky, if thats true, then it sheds a different light on Matt Lafleur, and raises more questions about firing Pettine and hiring Barry, Mike was a underling of a more aggressive lineage of coaches imo.

Fangio's schemes less so, Barry though was even more conservative then Vic, just rambling, but I think Matt is more aggressive then some of us think, or would be if he had faith in his DC, jmo.

now have you and Labrev rounded up the other 998 raving Packer Fans and invaded Lambeau with our demands yet :rotf:

Why should they be in a hurry?

The longer we wait, more it appears we are most interested in a Baltimore guy.

They played football 3 days ago.

Baltimore and their defensive staff have a ton going on right now. Simply needs time.

Just hope, for your sanity, we don’t really want an SF or KC guy.

Gotta say Wilson is the only guy I’ve wanted about as much as Evero.

Wilson, Evero, Belichick my top 3.

Gotta wait for a few other dominos to fall.

Does anyone know if we actually interview anyone? Or do we only request to interview? I would hope one of the best reporters would report after an interview has occured. All I see are request posts.
