the most expensive positions like WR, CB, pass rusher, will we ever get back what we just paid for Gary? or Alexander, did we get all we should have gotten for Clark? admittedly we got pretty good return from him, but we shouldn't be in this to make players rich, or the richest at there positions, we cave to contract demands, sometimes it's really painful, Bakhtiari is a good example.

That's insane. But I love it.
Also worth pointing out that KC's 2017 was a meaningless game the final week of a season after Mahomes had sat the bench for the first 16 weeks of his rookie year. I wonder when their last was prior to that. I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances for others, but this one we know about off hand
Just came across this paragraph in an article about the 49ers on Fox Sports.com.
So now the NFL is giving draft picks for not hiring Whites? WTF?!With a boatload of draft picks bolstered by compensatory picks due to free-agent defections and minority coaching and front-office hires, the 49ers could quickly upgrade their roster with a series of shrewd draft weekend maneuvers that result in a handful of blue-chip players and developmental prospects joining the squad.
I believe the rule is if your minority coach/front office person is hired as a head coach or GM elsewhere...you get a 3rd round comp pick.wallyuwl wrote: ↑13 Feb 2024 10:03Just came across this paragraph in an article about the 49ers on Fox Sports.com.

Rule has been around for like 3 or 4 years.

I wonder what the trade value is. I would imagine the Bears want a first but I can’t imagine anyone in their right mind giving that for Fields.
Cancelled by the forum elites.
Atlanta is still my clubhouse leader. Pick 43 plus swapping 8 for 9. That seems fair to me.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑13 Feb 2024 12:24I wonder what the trade value is. I would imagine the Bears want a first but I can’t imagine anyone in their right mind giving that for Fields.
Read More. Post Less.
I would give exactly nothing for Justin Fields. He isn't good enough to win a Super Bowl with, so why bother?

Jimmy G BUSTED for PEDs. Will lose a $11M bonus in the process. Ouch!
So I'm wondering then if the Raiders void his entire contract, cut him loose and he becomes a FA.

Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. Raiders still on the hook for any guaranteed money/upfront money they paid him.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑16 Feb 2024 12:47Jimmy G BUSTED for PEDs. Will lose a $11M bonus in the process. Ouch!

Anywhere that's mentioned? What I'm seeing is prescription meds.Drj820 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2024 12:48we calling weed a PED now? haScott4Pack wrote: ↑16 Feb 2024 12:47Jimmy G BUSTED for PEDs. Will lose a $11M bonus in the process. Ouch!

Prescription meds without league approval and he's not contesting the suspension. Sounds a little more nefarious than just smokin' some ganja.Half Empty wrote: ↑17 Feb 2024 08:38Anywhere that's mentioned? I can’t even imagine the posts we’d see from lupedafiasco if this were a Saints forum…
